SOURCE: Clothes are taking 3 cycles to dry and cooling light on front wont shut off

The vent is clogged.  To make sure, disconnect the vent from the dryer and run the dryer normally.  If your clothes dry normally, then have a professional vent cleaning company take care of the vent.
The cooling light will always stay on during the run.  When it is blinking, the heat has stopped and is in the cooling process.
If there is no heating, you have a problem with the high limit switch or something else electrical and needs to be addressed by a qualified LG technician.

SOURCE: dryer wont stay hot. it gets cold after first load

If dryer lights for a few minutes and will not stay lit, I believe the solenoid coils will need to be replaced. Click on link below, enter your model number lgr5620kq1 in model search feature and go to the dryer page it shows a breakdown view of your dryer. Also go to common solutions and look for gas dryer problems. I will also be here to help you, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Dryer heats but doesn't dry

Sounds like it is only heating on "low". The problem is most likely a thermal limit switch/thermostat which is bad.

SOURCE: Dryer gets hot, but not drying clothes

Check the following areas thoroughly to address this issue.

1. Venting
Make sure the dryer vent hose, as well as the rest of the vent duct, is not clogged.

Unless regular maintenance is performed, chances are there is a lot of lint accumulated inside the dryer. This might affect the drying time and could be a fire hazard. Make sure to have your dryer cleaned regularly. Because this might involve taking most of the dryer apart, it is recommended to have a qualified appliance repairman perform this task.

2. Thermostat
There are a couple of cycling thermostats inside the dryer. If one of them breaks down, it might affect the dryer's performance. Replace the defective thermostat.

3. Heating element
A heating element might only be partially burned out, in which case it would still work but will take longer time to dry the clothes. Replace the element if found defective.

4. Moisture Sensor
Most units will have a moisture or dryness sensor as well that will fail. inspect the sensor for faults. replace if necessary.

SOURCE: DRYER WILL NOT HEAT UP. "COOLING" LIGHT STAYS ON CONTINUOUSLY.

You dry by sensor???

Clean your sensor. The machine thinks the clothes are dry because the sensor is covered with who knows what???

Check your owner manual for the proper way to clean the sensor.

I hope this works for you

Samsung model dv5451 cooling light stays on

I am assuming when you turn it on, after couple of minutes goes off.
If you are on sensor drying and have no load or too little, then clothing might not touch the sensor enough (to show it is wet), and therefore microprocessor shuts unit down "thinking" everything is dry already. Try time dry.
Alternative: defective main board, sensor, wire harness.Call for service.

My dryer keeps blowing the thermal fuse help

Check your lint filter, exhaust duct, and check if duct flapper is opening fully or not. Allow some time between loads and don't stuff too many clothes.

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

The cooling light is always on, and it takes about 90 minutes to dry a load.

In normal operation as the dryer is drying the "drying" light flashes and the "cooling" light is on steady until the 5 minute cooldown at which time the "drying" light stays on steady and the "cooling" light flashes. click on this lg link

Taking 2 and 1/2 hours to dry a load

I too had this problem. My light still stays on. As for the dry time it was because of a very clogged vent. Test by taking off the vent and trying to dry, just make sure you have air flow or else the fumes will get to you. if it dries quicker its your duct work. do not do it with the open vent against the wall

The "check filter" light comes on just when I start the drying cycle the light goes away but the "Cooling" light comes on and stays on throughout the drying cycle, clothes stay damp thus a second drying cycle. Due to this annoying problem with my LGDLE2512W my laundry time has doubled, taking over 3 hours and a high gas bill just for a medium size load of laundry....
