Gee, Colonel, is someone >>> on Fixya <<< giving you a hard time finding info on ancient gear? If not, please lighten up. We're here to help and it's mostly free and volunteer.

Google images doesn't even have a pic for this thing. Is it that hard to see the inputs on the unit in front of you?

If you don't have a user or service manual you could use them.

This site (one of several) has it them. Don't just wing it. Do it right or do it twice, they say.

Testimonial: "That little outburst wasn't intended for fixya, I thought I was still on quasars site. sorry about that, they were of no help at all almost denied they ever made the thing. I thin it's a military secret where they are. This thing is 35 years and they were trying to sell me a new one Col. Dana Gillespie"

Can SimpleTech runs on 220 voltage

Not enough info.....
Ask Simpletech. I Dont use simple tech brand but it usually is similar to other products.
Most Hard Drive Boxes are connected to a Power Pak that goes into the AC wall outlet to drop the power down to low DC voltage.
Most power pak's handle 110 & 220 ac these days. Read the tiny writing on the power pak label. It's usually marked as input & output.
Good Luck

Hooked the damn thing up power my subs wonderfully for that evening, and all day today, got in this evening and nothing, checked the amp and red light, ok, fine, checked the manual, says the light protects...

probably something corssed in your speaker wiring. be sure that you did not exceed the ohmage capabilities of the amp, and that no speaker wires are crossed, or shorting out on the frame. if you have too many speakers hooked up, that can reduce the ohmage, and your not supposed to go below 2 ohms -per channel, or 4 ohms bridged mono.

I have a Nextech TV remote control. What are avalable codes so I can match up to my Quasar TV

Scott at Nex-Tech here.Had your question about remotes codes here on fixya forwarded to me and wanted to help. The answer depends on which remote control you are using. The Titan remote control codes for Quasar TV's are 10250, 10051, 10165, and 10650. The Quasar TV remote codes for the Atlas remote is 0051. If you look at the previous links, you should be able to identify your remote. If you have any questions or need help inputting your codes, you can always call our toll free tech support at 888-565-3200, they'd be happy to walk you through the process. Thanks for your business, hope this helps.

"32" rca tv about 3 years old was on & it went black- power light is on"

sounds like the sceen is dead, if you are receiving nothing on screen, then it sounds like either a component and/or screen is gone... however, check the tv input to make sure it wasnt acidentally switched to an input channel with nothing selected... if that does not work, call local tv repair or mfg customer service tech. if under warranty, have repaired or replaced. without physically seeing tv, it is hard to diagnose issue outside of information given. could be simple board replacement or could be screen.. but check input first, if a dvd player plays, then it could be just component or input on wrong selection

One channal does not work

swap your RCA's input to the amp. Does the channel that works switch to the other side? If so, then the problem is either your rca wire, or in your source unit. (try the wire first). If the same channel still is out, then problem in the amplifier or speakers. Move to swaping the speaker wires, right to left, and left to right... If problem same, then trouble is AMP, if problem moved, then trouble is speaker. If amp, remove amp, troubleshoot amp... (there are 3 basic parts to any amp... Power supply, input section, and amplifier section...) You know it's not the power supply because the sound is good on at least one channel, and most alll amps use one power supply for all channels, so if one channel sounds good, then you can rule out the power supply. Second, when an amplifier fails (usually, 90% of the time or more) it will result in a shorted output transistor or some other nasty condition that will blow a fuse, or toast a supply almost instantly, and again, your amp powers up, so odds are that the amplifier section of the amp might be ok. (no guarantee here, it's just the odds...I'd say it's like a 40/60 thing.... This leaves you to focus on the input section. First rule out the simple things... bad wiring, (rca, or speaker), bad speaker, bad source. Then rule out the simple things at the amp... broken rca input connectors (inside the amp at the PCB where the solder is) or outside the amp, where the jacks may have been crushed. Then rule out broken speaker terminals, where they can be cracked inside at the board where the solder is in the same way. After all this, you need your amp serviced by a qualified tech.

Quasar tv atenna/connector broke on tv

Yes if your cable box has RCA yellow, white, red, outputs on it and your tv has RCA inputs on it you can hook it up that way. It'll only cost you one set of RCA cables which are not expensive at all.

Quasar TV

Wow! This is an old message!
If you haven't tossed your set out yet, the problem you have (or had) was a failing vertical deflection circuit. It is (or was) not a terribly expensive repair and if you have replaced it with a plasma or LCD flat panel set, I hope you didn't dump your Quasar since most of the flat panel sets don't last past year 2. Any of these sets have serious problems and I would spring for an extended warranty any any of them; they are TERRIBLE. If you have parked your Quasar in the garage, look for a surviving TV repair and have it fixed.  Some of the parts used in that set will be increasingly hard to find so don't put it off too long. Also, if you do repair it, get a converter box for it too; it will not receive digital TV signals without it and they are coming in Feb. '09

Just spend a few minutes at this site and do some searching on plasmas (worst) and LCD (still plenty bad).
