Hello

That beep could mean alot of things, but probably a VIDEO CARD or RAM has become unseated.

If you feel comfortable with this, UNPLUG THE COMPUTER take off the case, remove and reinsert the ram chips, and the cards. You might need a screwdriver or two, and a LIGHT. The ram tabs are small.

Good Luck

My computer is beeping and the green light is staying on but the red light is not on and it just beeps i changed the battery and still beeps and no signal

Hi,

If you are receiving continuous beeps, it means that computer is not recognising the RAM (memory). In this you have to open the Computer and follow the below steps:

1. Turn OFF the computer
2. Open the flap of the Tower (Remove the screws from the back of Tower)
3. Now, On the Motherboard you will be able to see the RAM see the picture nanjia.jpeg

4. There should be two pins to unlock and remove it
5. Once removed, clean the terminal and replug it.
6. Turn ON the computer, it should take care of the issue

Thanks and regards,
Jitha

My computer tower wont stop beeping

Re-seat the memory.. more than likely they have unseated themselves during the dust cleaning. Beeping is usually caused by memory.. Beeps are usually a series like Morris code long..short beeps.. if re-seating the memory doesn't work, try swapping and removing different sticks and differnet locations on the motherboard, most motherboards have 2-4 memory banks or known as dimm slots.

Tower pushing out air and beeping and can't turn on PC

the beeping is post codes. they are telling you something is wrong. the code is a code for what is wrong like 3 beeps 4 beeps 1 Beep then repeatsthat code is 341. first thing i would do is pull out you ram and reseat it. that is the most common problem.

Scanner beeps. Laser is a dot instead of a line.

There is a problem with the scan engine. The dot is created when the mirror inside the scan engine stops oscillating. If your scanner is still under warranty send it back for repair or request a replacement.

We have a computer tower that needs to be fixed. we got it from our neighbors that were gonna throw it out. it can still turn on but all it makes is a humming noise, then it acts like it's gonna start up...

Sounds like to me that either you're missing a bootable OS or its the harddrive. If it beeps, chances are the OS. You can buy a copy of Vista and have someone install that for you or you can do it yourself. But if you are nervous about such or dont know about computers, have someone else do it for you.

Shuts down and beeps

The first place i would look is for an improperly seated ram stick or add-in card, also checking all the cables ( both data & power) inside the case.
Then i would inspect the system memory to make sure they are completely compatable.Take the two screws out of the back of the side cover and remove the side from the computer and physically inspect everything i mentioned above.
This is step ONE, dont rate yet , there will be step two and three ime pretty sure..
