Question about Dynex Wireless-G USB 2.0 Network Adapter

1 Answer

Dynex wireless enhanced G USB enabled my old PC to connect wirelessly to the MiFi shared by our notebook. Worked pretty well for a month. Then we were gone for a week. When I turned PC on, can no longer connect using the USB modem. Message says no device is inserted (even tho the PC has a pop-up every time I reinsert it saying it would work better if we had a faster USB port). I reinstalled the Dynex software but still won't work. After hours of messing with it, the light did finally start flashing intermittently. Help!

Try disconnecting the adapter and your computer for 60 seconds then reboot and see if this helps.

Connect mifi

Open internet option's or "create homegroup" option on your pc and enable your pc to become an access point. Doing so will allow the pc to share the wifi with any compatible device. The handset cannot find the IP due to a firewall so turning those off manually would also work but do so only as a last resort.

My WUSB54GSC network adapter worked Ok for six months but now keeps saying limited or no connectivity. Tried unin stalling and resetting. Hasn't worked - same problem keeps coming back.

If the wireless security on the router is enabled, then the pre-shared key or encryption key on the router and PC should match.

You will need to check the settings on the wireless router to confirm this.

Can  Dynex 4 Port Router DX-E402 be used to connect internet on a notebook without using cable to notebook?? i.e. Can it be used like a wireless g router??

Unfortunately, the DX-E402 is not a wireless router, so it can not transmit its signal without a physical cable connecting the router to your computer. If you want a wireless router that can also connect to your ISP, check out the Dynex Enhanced Wireless G Router:

Siemens router & Dynex adapter

Double check if there is any wireless security enabled in your router. Verify if the type of security enabled in your router is already supported by your wireless adapter. If the wireless security enabled in your router is not supported by your adapter, change the security to something that will work with your adapter.

Try connecting your computer with dynex Wireless G USB to different wireless network for further isolation.
