Question about Kodak ESP 3 Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner

I need to scan a document and the computer says it does not "find" my kodak all in one. I have lost the disk to it but have had this machine about six months and its worked fine. laughingmoose2@yahoo.com

Scan document to PC


Make sure you have the kodak software installed and go to the "kodak AIO center" (download it if you don't have a disk) you should see an option to scan an image.

Make sure any other scanners are disconnected from your computer. I had a problem with the scanner in the Kodak ESP 7 AIO printer. Kodak advised me to disconnect my other scanner. After I disconnected my Canon scanner, I was able to use the Kodak ESP 7 scanner.

hope only shortcut lost not the program, click windows start>then pointing all programs(you can see all programs installed in your machine) navigate to hp solution>right click the scan document>click sendto>then select desktop(create shortcut)..goodluck!!
note;in other programs when you right click is diffirent,(click the create shortcut)

Hi

Scanning require disk space in you computer. Try to remove some clean up or remove some document files in your hard drive to free some space. Check also your C and D drive jf how much disk space it available.

I just bought A Kodak esp 3250 series AIO printer. I can print from computer, copy and all that but whenever I try to scan to computer or even preview scan I get a error saying :An error occurred while...


Try a new USB cable. Scanners require bidirectional communication with the computer and thus can fail when printer itself works. (If you use a print server or USB hub, try a direct connection.) Also try changing USB ports.

Another thing to try is to remove the TWAIN driver and reinstall it. This requires the original software CD from Kodak.
1. From your computer desktop, click Start > Run. (In Windows 7, type run in the search box then click on Run.)
2. Type %windir%, then click OK.
3. Double-click twain_32.
4. Right-click Kodak, then select Delete.
5. Insert the KODAK All-in-One Printer Software CD into the appropriate drive, then go to D: > printer > scanner.
NOTE: The CD is indicated by D: above. The CD drive may be a different letter on your computer.
6. Double-click aioscannr.msi, then follow the instructions to remove it.
7. Go to D: > printer > scanner, then double-click aioscannr.msi, and follow the instructions to install the file.
8. Open Home Center Software:
a. Select Scan Documents and Pictures.
b. Scan a document.

Unfortunately, if the error persists, the scanner may need service. Contact Kodak: http://www.kodak.com/go/contact .

You need to scan another way

On computer click Start >>>> click Programs/All Programs >>>> click HP >>>> click 'hp solution center' or 'hp director' to open it >>>> click "scan a document" >>>> click "scan" >>>> click "finish' or 'accept' to complete the scan

If above programs are not there, it seems full software is not installed in computer. You need to install full feature software through cd

I've lost my set up cd and although the printer and copyer work I cannot scan a document onto the computer.


Scanning a document to your computer may require the Lexmark OCR scan software which is only available in the installation disk. Try to contact Lexmark technical support to request for the installation disk. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.

You will need the Lexmark OCR scan software to scan a document from the printer to your computer and save the file as PDF, word document, etc. The Lexmark OCR scan software is only available in the installation disk. My scanner won't scan


Check that all the needed drivers are installed for your scanner.. If the computer is able to detect the scanner it should scan..

Follow the steps below

Step 1: Open the Kodak AiO Home Center software (make sure to upgrade to the latest version) (hyperlink "version" to http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=7895&pq-locale=en_US)
Step 2: On the home screen, select "Scan Documents and Pictures”
Step 3: On the Scan screen:
  1. Select "Document" and "Black and White" and be sure that Perfect Page Technology is applied (it's selected by default for document scans)
b. Click "Next"

My printer prints and copies but doesn,t scan


scanning requires a place to keep a copy of the document.connect ur computer and printer via usb2.0 and then open kodak home center from ur desktop. from there scan the document. u will be able to scan and keep a copy of the document on the desktop. if there is any problem,contact kodak @ 1800 421 6699
