Question about Panasonic Audio Players & Recorders
Check your sound settings on the satellite box, they might be set to output only to hdmi on hd, or the stereo/surround settings are messed up. If not giving a call to your sat tv provider might help because if it is a common problem they will know about it, and don't forget to do a full restart of the devices, this has worked wonders for me.
