The subwoofer SP-PWM505 won't turn on.

Make sure its not set to Auto. Also check for a fuse in the back. Unplug the amp side and with the sub plugged in touch the RCA. You should hear noise from sub. Try this last. Some may say this is not good for the sub. Im in the business and never have seen it cause a problem

The sub channel will be switched off. You need to find the speaker settings, locate the sub channel settings and switch it on.

Does the sub work at all? How is it hooked up? The sub needs to be fed by an RCA cable from the Subwoofer Output jack for the receiver to control its output.

Subwoofer problem

If you get your system up and running and hear an audible buzz or hum, the first culprit to look at is either the powered subwoofer or your reciever feed at the entry point to your system.

No Soound on Subwoofer from Yamaha RX-V363

I have the same setup. Are you going out of the subwoofer output of the reciever? (it's purple.) then into the LFE jack of the subwoofer (also purple.) That's the only connection you need besides power. If you have those right, try using your cable for something else to make sure the cable is good. Is the indicator of the subwoofer green? Mine comes on with the reciever. Good luck!

Connecting Powered Subwoofer to a Receiver

you will need a line-level converter to use this subwoofer- it is a rectangular-shaped box with wires coming out on one end and red-and-white RCA plugs one the other. The end with the wires coming out will hook to the receiver, and the other end will need to plug into the sub.

Connecting my subwoofer

got manual on speaker?the reason y some subs have left and rt. is bcause some equipment dont have sub output channel.most sub left channel is usuallly dedicate toe the lfe, which is for the sub output.try it with a splitter and single see if you lose so bass drops when in single,if so then go double .but i think its the left channel.you wont damage anything by conecting a splitter, tet in low volumes ,.but try to get the manual from company or contact them atleast.

Yamaha RX-V1200 subwoofer connection to Mirage BPS-150i subwoofer

just connect your subwoofer mono RCA to your amp sub single out rca connector. you do not need to megre all those 4terminals into one. in fact internal circuit of those 4rca are merging inside to one since the sub uses only a single amp. 4inputs was meant for sources with multiple sub out
