Question about Cuisinart CB-600 Blender

Open Question

We used our Cuisinart CB 600 for the first time today. Our main use will be for fruit smoothies. We tried making them with the prepackaged frozen smoothies, & yes, we put the milk in first. Even after adding additional milk it didn't want to 'turn' the contents while blending. It's like it's only blending the bottom contents. When scraping it down I can see an air pocket in the bottom. You can hear the blades, and when doing a thin clear liquid you can see the movement, but during what should be considered normal use, we're having issues. Is this a common problem with an easy fix, or am I going to have to return it as defective? Thank you.

SOURCE: Cuisinart Quick Prep is not working properly

I think the ice was too hard for a hand blender. I think the impact has caused the blade to separate from the shaft or caused the shaft to separate internally. If your blender is still under warranty you might be able to get it fixed. Note: none of the "Smoothy" recipes in the manual call for ice. One uses ice-cream. One uses "partially thawed frozen strawberries" and one uses sherbet.

The plastic container is cloudy and there seams to be a slight odor, it's a little over one year old we used 5 days a week for smoothies.

Plastic will get cloudy given the fact that you will crush seeds from all the fruits you put in it and they will act like a very fine sandaper when you make your smoothies.

There are many types of blender available on the market which perform a different operation. Some blender is famous for specific work. I would suggest you choose the blender which can perform all the blending operation perform in the kitchen. Ninja Professional Blender BL160, BL660, BL482, Cosori High-Speed Blender.
