Sir, there shoud be a just a nut to remove. Unless it has a soldered cap on the end? If so ... you have to be a little handy. You can use any type of small piping which will replace the old rod and just cut to size needed. You can drill a hole through and cotter pin to keep wheel on. (That's what I do... )

The fron tire of my Craftsman GT500 tractor is flat. how can I change it?

Hi, W/D here.
Find out why it went flat first. Air the tire up, and apply soapy water to the tire, then look for bubbles. If the tire went flat due to a puncture, you can repair it in place; Wal-Mart, and hardware stores market an inexpensive kit for repairing tubeless tires. Basically, you run a reamer into the puncture site, then fit the hole with a plug. Quick and easy. The repairs last.
If the tire is leaking around the valve stem, you can replace that in place as well. Same places sell valve stems. You deflate the tire, and install the valve stem from the inside.
If it is leaking around the rim, you can remove the valve core, and put a product called "Slime" in it to help seal it off.
If you really want to remove the tire, they are attached usually by one of two ways: 1. Bolt-on. There will be bolts in the rim of the tire. Removing these will allow the wheel to be removed, or 2. The wheel will be fitted to the axle with a bolt in the axle. Remove the center hub of the wheel, remove the cotter pin, remove the nut, then the wheel will come off.
If the repairs can be made with the wheel on, it's easier.
Best regards, --W/D--

My car wabbles

Check the tires. You may have a broken belt in the tire. A broken belt or shifted belt may be hard to spot. Or it may be a big noticeable bulge in the tire. If your alignment was off yes it would pull but it wouldn't cause a wobble. Also check tire inflation ball joints suspension/suspension bushings tie rods half shaft wheel bearings/hubs bent rim. I would say struts but you got them replaced. But in some cases when you ride on bad struts for a long time your tires will develop flat spots or choppiness...which would give you your wobble.
Also make sure your lug nuts are all tight and the wheels are seated properly on the hubs, if they are tight bring the car to a tire shop and have them balance the two front tires, this will tell you if you have a bent wheel.

Step by step removing and replacing the spair

Hi my name is Tom and I am here to help you.

By changing the spare tire, I am going to assume that you mean changing a flat tire using the spare tire. If I am mistaken please advise.

Locate the area where the spare tire and jack are located. You should see a lug wrench. This would be a X shaped device with closed sockets. Find the correct lug size needed for the Caravan. Loosen the lugs by turning the wrench counter clock wise. A little reminder is (lefty loosey, righty tightey)

After the lugs are loose, jack the car up using the jack provided. Near each wheel is notches which show you where to place the jack. Do not jack any further then you need to lift the car up. Keep in mind that an inflated tire is larger than a deflated.

Remove all the lug nuts and replace the flat tire with a good one. Put the lugs back on and hand tighten.
Lower the car and tighten the lug nuts firmly.

The only thing I believe I left out was removing the wheel covers. You should find in a packet with the jack a device to unlock the wheel cover. I can not tell you what it is because each car is unique.

I trust this is detailed enough for you. If not, please feel free to contact me and I will answer any questions you might have.

Please take the time to rank the information I gave you and how helpful it was. This will help me to do a better job for you and other to follow.

How do you replace front wheel bearings on a 1998 audi a4 quattro with a 2.8 liter?

If you want to replace it manually, you have to release all the air out of the tire. Then you got to use like a crow bar or something flat, it's like taking off a bike tire. If you know what I'm talking about. Try pushing on the tire to remove it from the wheel. Then on from there its pretty common sense. Hope this helps!?
Please rate solution - Thanks.

Can you use Fix a flat to repair a flat tire on the Cub Cadet LTX 1042

If it's a simple puncture, "Fix-a -Flat" or another product called "Slime" might work for you. I believe Walmarts sells both.
Hope this helps... Good luck!

Tire Change on 2006 Ford Explorer

Kick the tire. Not only will it make him feel better, but it should come off. The center of the wheel is probably a tight fit where it fits on the 'hub' (where the brakes and wheel bearings are located. Kick the tire near the outer edge, continue all around 'til it comes off. Please let me know how you make out. countrycurt0
