The comment that it is an SMA connector is incorrect. The Dakota Alert M538-HT MURS Hand Held uses a metric stud and is non-standard. Check eBay for the adapter. There is someone who makes custom antenna adapters for these radios.

It's called a reverse SMA. You can get a reverse SMA (f) to BNC (m) adapter for $5 and put any MURS antenna on it you wish. Here is a link to where I get mine at. Reliable people there. LAN SMA-38-TGN ( SMA female - BNC male ) http://www.associatedradio.com/ about midway down the page under RF adapters.

Correction, you need the REVERSE sma (f) to bnc (f) . I get them there all the time. The pic seems to not be displayed at this time but if you call them I know they have them.

I did find a picture of it. Go to the same link http://www.associatedradio.com/ and click on the WOUXUN RADIO (top left). There is a list of accessories there. Third one from the bottom is your adapter. The reason they do this is to protect your radio. With the standard SMA antenna if it broke your radio too broke. With the reverse if you snap the antenna you dig the piece out and buy a new antenna and your radio is sparred.

What radios are compatable with motorola rdm2070d

The Motorola CP110 MURS VHF is a nearly identical radio. Most 2 watt programmable VHF radios are programmable to the MURS frequencies.

Can a RDM2080D pair with a BPR40?

If your BPR40s are VHF (model number beginning AAH84K), the answer is yes. The BPR40s can be reprogrammed to match your new RDM2080D VHF MURS radios. This can be done by an authorized Motorola dealer with a current software subscription. (If you cannot find a dealer, look us up online, we will be happy to assist.)

You might want to consider keeping your BPR40s around. The BPR40 has a more economical battery replacement cost (under $35), and is repairable/recondition. (currently $69 flat rate)

Your BPR40s are also capable of more wattage than the RDM2080, 5 watts vs. 2 watts. However, it should be noted the BPR40s will need to be programmed to the lower wattage when going to the MURS frequencies.

Best regards.

29 lx le new 200 wilson antenna new coax and radio .we set the swr with a good meter at 1.2 and the radio says 3 or so and the message on the radio says cb antenna warning.and we doudle check the swr with...

what kind of meter? I would go by what is in the radio unless you are using an analyzer.

You may also be getting common mode current. take 6 to 8 inches of coax and make a tight coil about the same size as a spray paint can. Hold it together with electrical tape.

Use the meter in the LX LE to set the SWR then check with the other meter.

I LOST THE ANTENNA FOR JEEP WRSS 3A BOOMBOX

I have the same boombox and lost my antenna. I ended up going to my local Walmart and bought a generic rubber moulded car antenna. The studs that came with the antenna had threads and too large of a diameter so I carefully filed/ground the threads down until I acheived the correct diameter necessary for the antenna stud to slip into the antenna receptacle. It works great and looks as if it came with the radio to begin with. I hope this helped!

the stud is held in place by the cable jack. unscrew the jack from the back of the assy inside the pack under the liner. The stud should just slip out. You do not have to remove the entire light assy to do this. Just the part the cable screws onto.

Not really enough info to help you, but you MUST check the SWR of your antenna system. I've seen many cases where the antenna studs were incorrectly installed, shorting the antennas to ground. Also, make sure the Dynamike control on the CB radio is turned fully clockwise.

You Need to check and set you SWR on the antenna system. You may also have a bad coax or the ant studs ( mounting hardward ) for the antennas may be bad. It definally sounds like an ant/coax problem Good Luck
