Question about Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

We have just been given one of these units for our caravan in France. It doesn't have an flexible outlet hose like one we used to have (like you get on non condenser tumble dryers) does this unit have one that you fit onto the vent at the back? It does have the thin black pipe that i assume the water comes out of? Any help/advice would be gratefully received

If the is an all -in-one or Combo Washer/Dryer like Haier, EuroTech, LG and others make, that you wash and dry all in one unit, there is no venting vecessary. The unit extracts the moisture through very high speed revolutions per minute and then has a 120 volt dryer that kicks in to dry the items completely. There is a lint trap drawer under the front of the unit, that should be cleaned regularly. Be careful when you pull the drawer out, as it will contain some water. The thin black pipe (which should be flexible) is where the water comes out and goes into the motor home's washer drain stack.

These units can shake a lot, if they are not properly leveled (Front to back & Side to side). So when installing it make sure it is level.

Enjoy your caravan to France!

How to lengthen the water supply hoses. There to short to reach sink.

Buy a flexible braided hose for mains pressure. They come in different lengths.

Fit one end to the water outlet tap and for the other end you will need a fitting you can attach the dishwasher hose to that any plumbing supply has. I don't think you can buy a flexible braided hose that will fit to your water supply tap on one end and then straight to the end of the dishwasher hose on the other. You will need the adapter between the 2 to hook the fittings up. Use plumbers tape on the fittings when installing them for a good water seal.

Or you can just get a plumber in who will fit everything up for you and will also probably use a flexible hose to plumb in the water supply.

How do you replace the pcv valve on a 2008 dodge

the hose is U-Shaped on the top of the manifold. It runs up and to the back. It had clamps on mine. The hose should be flexible, mine was hard as a rock so I got a new one before starting the job. The front part of the hose pulls up and off, the back towards the firewall, is where the PCV valve is fitted into a grommet and the hose. That is clamped into place. Just loosen up the clamps and PULL that right UP and out. Replace PVC and re-clamp on new HOSE. 15 mins, very easy to do !!

Spot bot is blowing not sucking

This problem may be the same as I am having. The SpotBot recirculates the vacuum air back into the brush area when it is using the circular brushes. There is a short flexible hose deep inside the unit that connects from the clear plastic nozzles in the round brush unit to the end of the clear vacuum hose outside. Mine had a large tear in that flexible hose. This causes air to enter the hose and reduces the vacuum action, like cutting a hole in the side of your regular vacuum hose. The bad part is that I have not been able to find a replacement hose. It also takes a bit of repair experience to even get inside to where this hose is. Given the number of references to this type of issue, it appears that Bissell has a design flaw that causes the hose to break prematurely. Any response Bissell?

Installation diagram

240 volt electric cord, and a flexible usually 4 inch, exhaust hose.

Install cord to drier.
Install flexible hose to driver using the clamps provided.
Install plug into the 50amp drier outlet.
Install the other end of the exhaust hose to the vent going outside.
Carefully move the drier back into position almost against the wall without crushing the vent hose..

Can't fit flexible hose onto dryer vent

An oval dryer hose can be installed by squeezing it back into the desired round shape as you fit it to the outlet. With time and infinite patience it can be done.

Replacing caliper on 2010 dodge grand caravan

If you refering to the clip that holds the flexible line at a metal mount point where it is screwed in to the steel line. Then you undo the fitting first from the steel line as the rubber hose has flats that prevent it from turning while doing this. Once youhave seperated the lines the clip should have a flat section bent at right angles Grip this with a good pair of multigrips and pull sideways. The clip will come free and the rubber hose will be able to be pulled out of the mount.. Then you unscrew the hose from the calper unit. Best use a new copper washer here to avoid leaks in the future,

Had a question about my chevy 2000 blazer heater not functioninmg right

It is not a heater control valve, the car doesn't use one, it would be a plugged heater core (based on what you said about the two hoses to the core), this is often caused by the DEXACOOL GM antifreeze breaking down, it creates a gooey sludge and can plug the heater core, remove the hoses from the heater core and with a garden hose pressure wash the gunk out of the core. When a core is working well the hose in (larger of the two) will be very hot, the outlet side will be hot but not as hot.

Dryer gets hot, turns but does not dry. I have cleaned the filter inside (big round one) and the small one on the front behind the door. No airflow coming out rear of unit.

Your outlet vent line is probably clogged with lint, etc. Usually it gets clogged either right at the dryer's outlet or at the outside port. First remove the flexible vent hose from the back of the dryer and clean away any lint or debris buildup, then check the rest of the line and outside port. Birds sometime like to build nests at the outside ports that are configured up high enough and the outside ports that are low will sometimes get toads/frogs in them. You can simply use a vacuum hose on anything you can't reach by hand.

I am trying to change the return heater hose on my 1998 Dodge Caravan 3.8 ltr engine. The top clamp is easy to get to. How do I get to the bottom clamp that seems to be surrounded by hoses and metal parts?

What I do is: get a flexible carburetor screwdriver then in the 1/4" socket end I insert a socket screwdriver tip etc. these wire cable type screwdrivers can be found at autopart stores they also work great with power screwdrivers

My water heater outlet connection is leaking.

Yes. If the nut is not cross threaded. Try using a garden hose washer. I think that's going to be the right size.
