Most often permission problems are the result of a virus.I recommend down loading the free version of avira anti virus then run a scan in safe mode and see whats on your system.

You can connect to symantec online and purchase it that way, because they will also give you a file to down load in order to take your current one off of trial account.
If I were you, I would much rather download comodo.com and use that internet security suite. it is free, it updates automatically and offers a more secure experience for the end user.

If you have not install a anti virus program on the computer to scan and remove the virus. A good virus remover could be found at www.free.grisoft.com AVG Anti virus. Here you can download either the free edition or the Pro Edition which is not free. Try the free edition first to see if it will remove the virus. Also get a spyware removal program. Good Luck
