Why does my comp. load web pages really slow, it just started this 1 week ago

Make sure to run a thorough virus scan.

Slow Windows Machine! Sounds like not enough resources such as RAM and CPU. Check Performance in Task-Manager (CTRL-ALT-DELETE). High CPU levels causes hang ups like freezing. Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate. Consider increasing RAM. Uninstall any extras like those pushy toolbars, and add-ons.

Tmobile mytouch Q 4G Slide....running very slow not letting pull up dial pad battery running hot and running out fast freezing up internet not working alot needing to restart the phone all the time

  • Close unused programs by accessing the Task Manager on the device. According to MobileTopSoft.com, Windows Mobile devices use a feature called "Smart Minimize." This software simply minimizes a program when you think you might have closed it. Thus, the device becomes slow because too many programs are running. Closing out programs via the device Task Manager should be completed daily.
  • 2Clear the temporary files from the device. Storage on a Windows Mobile device is at a minimum, and it's important to keep the phone cleared of any unnecessary data, such as temporary Internet files. To complete this task go to Internet Explorer and access "Menu," "Tools" "Options" and finally "Memory"; delete the files here.
  • 3Avoid overloading the device with unwanted programs. Programs take up storage space on your device. By taking caution when downloading programs and removing unwanted programs, you will minimize the amount of storage taken up. This will reduce the slowness of the Windows Mobile device.

My recently bought BB 8320 becomes slow very often. If you reset(replace the battery), it becomes ok. After sometime, it become slow. pls help...

Are you hitting the blackberry button to the left of the trackball and closing programs. Blackberry"s should be restarted ever day or two to begin with it clears the memory you can do it by removing the battery or by hitting the alt key (on the left side) + caps(right side)+ delete. There are also programs on the app store called quick pull lite that can schedule the restart once a day. If you don't have the app store you can download it by going to the browser on the phone and typing in http://www.blackberry.com/appstore. Also i would make sure you have a memory card in it and all the pictures you have taken are on the memory card. Those phones didn't have a lot of memory and it uses it for storage and processing. Another thing that could be freezing it up is the messages and emails on it. They never delete any messages so i would go into your messaging folder and highlight a date where you don't need anything from that date back and press the menu button and click delete prior. One or some combinations of those solutions should help and make you blackberry run much faster.

I bought this phone in the US and now am in India i have unlocked the phone but unfortunately the system has become very slow ...like it takes ten mins to switch on and every button press takes time ......

This phone model isn't a very good phone to begin with, I know from experience. Turning it on will take a while for it to start all the way up, that's normal. The more ringtones/videos/pics/music/texts on it, the slower it gets. If you have many of those try deleting some. If you use this phone for browsing or its mp3 player, that will slow it down a lot as well. Also, there is problems with the Instant Messengers on it, they will make your cell slow, freeze or restart when you use them, so try not to have them on if your cell is already really slow. By the way when your cell first turns on, it will be loading your texts and such; just give it some time, pressing buttons will seem slow and may cause the phone to freeze.

My desktop is freezing and extremely slow, I tried to a"disk clean" and installed a new anti-virus, still happening someone suggested the system to old therefore slow. I disagree, it's a 2006 computer...

You have a lot of programs that are running at the same time unnecessarily.
The first thing you should do is to install this
    http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html
Run it, it will delete a lot of junk and don't close *** after that. Go to Utilities / Admin Tools / IObit uninstaller and in there identify every program that you don't use (google them if you never heard about them - you don't want to uninstall a driver or something similar) and uninstall it. Next go to Startup Manager and untick every program that is not absolutely required to start (drivers and security). Now run ASC again and reboot - you pc should be fast again.

904346-0403 Trackball: my mouse is slow...

    Some tips..
this is not to say all that has happened, loads of time consuming tips are at the mouse company, which has pages and pages of tests.
Mostly when this happens to me, it is my pc overclocking it's P4 Processor.
ctrl + alt + delete = start the task manager, after that look at the cpu or processor usage. Nearing 100% all the time freezes the mouse and the pages. The issue is probably that people need to get and monitor a firewall and turn off a lot of background services sneaking in, delete cookies a few times each day, and set to delete everytime you close down the browser OR shut down your internet so it does not sneak on in the background using your pc for it's own advantage. Make sure your start up programs are heavily limited or monitored and that programs aren't allowed to do whatever they want. One is REAL PLAYER. Can be a nightmare. Many programs take over your pc and slow down things, it's important to learn what is happening with all this stuff using your pc at it's own will mercy, which is really merciless mos to the time.

You computer seems to be performnig slow, you can download CCleaner, and clean the garbage files.

You can go to Start-Run-%temp% and delete all the files.
You can go to Start-Run-Temp and delete all the files

You can run disk cleanup and select all the options which is available in the list.

You can go to your Internet Explorer-Tools-Options-Advance-Reset
You can also uninstall any unused program and delete the files you dont need.

These will get your computer back in track.

    Startup windows

First do a general cleaning then delete any programs from start up that you don't need. Delete any un needed dectop icons.

The biggest problem for slow start ups is because of a corrupt or bloated registry. You need to clean and repair it.

Windows is looking for programs that are no longer there or corrupted, the default time for windows OS to wait is 30 seconds before it gives up and moves on. So if you have a lot of bad registry files this will really slow a computer down. A lot more info can be found here - http://registry-repair-program-reviews.com
