This is a common problem, I recommend that you do a reset. You need to unscrew that back holder for the battery and take it out. Leave it out for about 8 minutes, and place it back in. This will reset the device and should solve the problem. Good luck!

My dsi says an error has occurred. press and hold power button to turn the system off. please see the Nintendo dsi operations manual for help troubleshooting

Usually this can be a couple of things. It could be a corrupt download, try and update the DSI over the WiFi again. If it comes up with an error as soon as you try to do an update it is more than likely a bad Wifi card inside the DSi and will need to be replaced.

Hi, could you help me please? recently my stupid nephew tried connecting the internet to his dsi and then he switched the dsi off, when he tried to switch the dsi ON it said: "an error has occurred...

Close the DS, turn the volume all the way down and then press a few more times, reopen, hold down power switch. It should turn off.

If it still doesn't work then it look like it was trying to do an update and was shut off while updating.

For a Guarantee fix you must change your DSi motherboard, they cost around $40 on ebay.

Thanks

My nintendo has got a problem for a few months now. when turn on the power button, it has given an error messagge "an error has occurred. press and hold the power button to turn the system off....

If the following error message appeared in your DSi or DSI XL: "An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off...", It means that your Nintendo has been updated (by the Internet) to the version 1.4.2 (or 1.4.3) or you bought it updated. In this case your DSi XL or DSi doesn't work with any flashcard in the market.

If you don't have an updated flashcard, the solution requieres both "updating the kernel of your flashcard" and also "patching it". I hope it helps you.

Simple fix... stop pirating and buy the games.
The message ''An error has occurred'' is a typical message which many users have encountered on their DSi, DSi XL, 3DS and Wii. It happens when either a blocked modchip or flashcart is detected by the console.

Nintendo DSi reads. "An error

Hello,

Does this error occur when you play a certain game or all games? Or maybe it comes up when you first turn on the DSI? More details are always helpful, however, you can try some of the following tips to see if you can resolve the error.

-Try removing the battery for a couple of minutes then replacing it.
-If this is caused by just one of your games, then that game is most likely damaged.
-If possible, install the latest firmware to your DSI which may resolve the issue.
-Your DSI may still be under warranty support, and I would recommend contacting Nintendo for repairs. Phone 1-800-255-3700

A System Date Error is a problem with the firmware. There is more information at the blog here as well as a link to the system date error fix! I think you can avoid a lot of problems like that by getting an Acekard . It's worked perfectly for me for months now :).

Nintendo dsi error everywhere

Contact Nintendo for this problem,
it looks like the firmware went corrupted,
maybe some one has used a bad flash
adapter to play backuped games.

Don't tell them the part of maybe some one
used a bad flash adapter, becouse they then won't help you anymore or will cost you alot
of mony to get it fixed.

Also try to reset the dsi to the standard settings, this can wipe everything on the dsi,
making backups is recomended.
A factory reset on the DSi can be performed by holding down every button minus those of the d-pad and turning the system on.

Problem whit open my acekard2i whit dsi an error has occured

Your acekard is blocked by dsi due to nintendo latest updates. You will have to reformat your micro sd using panasonic SDFormatter and install at the root the latest firmware AKAIO download from http://www.acekard.com/news.php#48 and the latest updates firmware fix just released 8/17/09 from mediafire ak2ifw_update_14.rar (3.05 MB). Your root should contain these files __aio, ak2ifw_update_14_DSi, ak2ifw_update_14_DSL, akmenu4.nds, readme_AKAIO. Now take you card and update it with an nintendo ds lite or phat by inseting the card and when you see the file update click on it and it will be updated and work again in your dsi. I just experienced this and the updates work if you know how to apply them. Good luck!!! Danny phantom icon appears instead of A2K
