Yes you can
if you have composite video that would be a good option as opposed to the 75ohm connection
doubt you have component video option in a VCR
composite video is the yellow wire for video and the red and white for audio
75ohm wire is the single wire that screws in that sends both audio and video
component video is red, green ,blue wires for video and red white for audio
