Only 70 sets allowed.settings discarded. get the above message whenever i try to save the settings sent by service provider.

Hi,

This is because in you have more than 70 sets of GPRS/MMS settings in your mobile.
This mobile supports only 70 sets.Please delete some unwanted settings and save the settings of current service provider.

To delete please follow the steps,

Menu--->Settings--->configurations--->default configuration settings

Go inside this option and delete the unwanted settings.Then you can save the new settings and set the new setting as you default.

Thanx

My nokia 311oc does not accept web setting but just say"only 70 sets allowed setting discarded" please tell me what should i do

This means your phone can allow a maximum of 70 configuration settings, and they are all used up. Now you may be wondering how you used them up, if you did not accept that number of settings. The fact is some Nokia phones are in the habit automatically receiving and storing certain settings to fill up this space. My Nokia 2600-c receives settings from uae etisalat this way.

Solution: You free up at least a slot to be able save newly received settings. To do this, Go to menu/settings/configuration settings/default configuration settings. scroll to select the settings you wish to delete and go to options/delete, Once you do so request for settings again and this time it wont be discarded and you will be able to save them. Just try it to see for yourself. Note that the procedure may vary only slightly depending on the phone, but am pretty sure if is the same for 3110-c

There could be too many settings for Internet/Wap/MMS etc... on your phone.
Delete them all and get the Settings for Internet/Wap and MMS from your Network Service Provider. These settings are usually sent as a text msg. When you receive the msg. choose save or install on your phone. Or get the settings directly from their website. The MMS service doesn’t always work between networks.
If you're on a prepaid phone, make sure you have enough credits to sends MMS. Also check that your phone isn't too full of old files. The phone needs a certain amount of memory to function.
