Not all stoves are made the same. If yours has a glowbar on it measure the amp draw or observe the glow bar when it comes on. If the gas does not ignite in 2 minutes then your glowbar is weak. If it is a dim orange it is weak and won't open the bi-metal inside the safety valve.
