If there is a virus you don't need to have it formatted.
As it is starting continually tap F8 key and you will get an alternative menu. Select safe mode with networking and continue When it is open use your web browser to download malwarebytes anti malware
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
install the program, update it and then run it. Follow any advice given and then restart
Hopefully this will have solved your problem

Will I be able to download the Microsof frontpage 2003?

I would doubt that you could but you can try. You will definitely need your product key code to prove that you had a valid registered copy of the software.

There was no need to reformat a drive because of a virus. Viruses are easily removed as long as you don't have Norton or McAfee as your virus protection.

My laptop always crash and the only way to recover it is to re format it.i already do almost everything like change the hardrive.memory.it willrun for a few days and then crash again.we thought at first...

Hello.

This is a tough one.

My first thought is that if you reformat your laptop and it crashes, sounds like a hardware (most common: memory or hard drive) problem.

But, you've tested / replaced the memory and the hard drive. Be certain that you have the correct memory for this laptop. Also, run hardware diagnostics.

When you reformat, don't add anything. Just the operating system. Boot it and test for awhile to see if the operating system is stable. Then, add software one at a time and test each time. It may be a long process, but it's possible that your software may be infecting your system.

Hope this helps.

My laptop has a virus, how can i remove this?

If you don't know what virus you have, how do you know you have one.

Anti-virus software removes a virus, unless you tell me what virus you have
I can't explain how to remove it manually.

Download two things, they are free,

Avira free anti-virus, this is the second best anti-virus software on the planet, and I am not saying this because a friend told me, this is based on actual testing.

Next, download Malwarebytes, they also have a free version.

Below I will post the links for both, these will take care of anything you have. Unless you only think you have a virus, and it just a windows problem.

It says

Avira AntiVir Personal - Free Antivirus
http://www.avira.com/en/download/index.php

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Look down the page, and you will see the download button.

I you have a virus, this will take care of it, and if you need more help just
ask.

My computer is a dell latitude d 600. when i go to log on the screen is black and the mouse is the only thing on the screen, what is wrong?

Well, youre not getting a blue screen/crash error, so I dont think you have anything wrog with the hardware. Sounds like it is time to reformat and reinstall windows. You might be able to start in safe mode and try some windows diagnostics, or virus scans, or spyware scans. It may also be possible to recover the system with windows system recovery.

Laptop got virus

type into your search engine------avir free------ and download the avir antivirus free program. It is super terrific and will definitely get rid of your whatever you have. I have tried a large number of those programs, include some I paid for, and none of them stand at the front door and keep stuff out. All of the others will get rid of it once it is already in but this one stops it from entering. It is the only program I would use for stopping and getting rid of viruses, worm nd malware.

Computer got virus...doesnt even run the antivirus software installed

A good virus removal tool called ComboFix may help you. I've used this on several computers to wipe out virus problems and it's been great. This site has instructions on using ComboFix and links to download the tool.

Try this before reformatting your computer. Post a follow-up if you need more help.

Virus

Don't reformat it just yet. Tell us what OS you are using, and I can try to help.
I will assume you are using WIndows XP or Vista - what you can do, assuming you have kept your PC up-to-date, is try to run the inbuilt Microsoft anti-malware program.
Click Start, Run, type MRT and press Enter or click OK.
You should get the February 2009 version of the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool.
Do a quick scan and see what comes up. If anything is found, reboot and repeat the process doing a full scan (can take several hours).
That should fix and remove the most common virus infections. Let me know how you get on.

If you still need to reformat, you need to use the Dell recovery CDs that came with your laptop. These were a blue recovery/drivers CD and a purple CD for Windows XP sp1 or a green CD for Windows XP sp2. Not sure about other versions of Windows. There is no magic button to reformat with Dell laptops.

My acer 5612 WLMI keeps crashing randomly

reformat your system.. always partition your hdd into 2 parts,, the os on one partition and your files on another,, so that anytime your system is in trouble,, you can reformat it without worries...
there must have been a virus in your system or there was something wrong in the installation of your os..
if this doesn't work,, maybe it is a serious hardware problem...
