To update, one of the 3 connections to the diaphragm was broken. I resoldered it, now the mic works as it should.

I have the same mic, same problem. I disassemled the mic, put it back together, and the problem fixed itself. I can't explain exactly why.
To disassemble the top part of mic, turn the 2 plastic posts inside the mic clockwise.

Hello folks, so I am working on a 2000 bravada in my free time. Haven't gotten into the engine yet but I need parts first. I just wish to know if it has a carburetor

Hi Clayton, The motor doesn't start so It's either fuel OR electrical thats stopping it, First check spark plug... Pull spark plug out and visually inspect for any dirt touching both electrodes... Next, Plug the spark plug back into the spark plug lead and earth it to the motor(make sure the spark plug is touching metal)then try turning the motor to see if the spark plug sparks...If it does spark then it's a fuel problem. You need to pull your carby off and unscrew the bottom half from the top, 1st sign of a needle stuck inside the seat is a dry carby There you'll find the float, push the float up and down and see if the needle above the float slides up and down from the seat, If the needle stays up then it's stuck and NOT letting the fuel into the carby, Just pull it down with your fingers to loosen it up and spray up the seat with a carby cleaner. Also the link below is a short YouTube video showing the right colour spark and it should spark over the top of the centre electrode, I hope this helps.... CHEERS..

Humming noise when guitar is turned up

Humming noises are normal a sign of a bad earth. It could also be that you have a faulty pickup or volume/tone control.

Does the hum stop when you touch various metalwork, socket cover, strings, bridge for example. If it does almost certainly an earthing problem.

Sound like the radio is looking for a ground. I would tell you to take it to a good CB Shop, not all shops work on this radio so be careful and ask them first. But you're touching it or almost touching it is giving it a "False Ground" causing it to hum.

Galaxy dx99v, bad squeal when I key the mic

Your microphone wires may be shorted take the mic plug apart (small screws) Now check for frayed wires touching or twisted together!
With the wires being resolderd or taped apart put back together
with the U pointing downward you shout have :
Right corner bottom Sheild ground!
Left corner bottom Black recive
Right corner top White or yellow this is Audio wire
Left corner top RED Transmit or PTT wire

If wiring looks good the problem is in the Mic take to servicer!

HUm problem. Worse when touching outside of mic.

Hello

Check the grounding wire on the mic itself, this is where the problem lies, cause when you touch it, the grounding follows an alternative path through your body, that is why the humming increases when you touch it.

Hope this can steer you in the right direction.

Kind regards
Andrea

Satellite Pro microphone has hum in background when recording

Usual cause of mike hum is poor earth of screen in cable. Check connections between cable and earth pin or shell of plug. Don't make earth connections at both ends of cable as this will create a loop areal and pick up electrical noise.

You might also want to check for poor amp earthing. Normally moving close to, or touching, the front panel will reveal this problem as hum will reduce dramatically.

Mic does not work

Its not unusual for the mic to stop working, its n easy replacement. you will need to open the top and bottom halves of the case. The mic fits in the top part then the wire goes through the hinge to the motherboard in the bottom half of the case. No soldering just plug it on.

Onkyo Subwoofer Pre Out Problem

May not necessarily be the out put, discontect the sub from the receiver and see if it still makes a hum, Making sure that you turn auto on, off on the sub woffer.
If it still makes a hum, then you have a earthing problem, you can get a earth filter put on your internal wiring in your home, or you can remove the earth pin on your sub woffer
