Yes depending on the make and model number. It may be located in the housing which contains the cold control or it may be located behind the kick plate.

Where is the defrost switch on 106.53592300

Not sure there is a manual defrost switch. Look at the link below for defrost switches for your model. On some refrigerators, if you set the temperature switch to off and unplug then plug in the refrigerator it will force the defrost mode; then unplugging and plugging again will reset the mode.

The temperature for the fridge and freezer will not stay constant. Why?

I would think first of the defrost termination thermostat malfunctioning.
This would vary the defrost time since it regulates the defrost time by temperature.
This is the most common failure in fridges next to start relays.
It is a two wire item in the freezer section which is clipped onto a tube. It senses
line temperature and turns off the defrost element when that temp is reached.
Should be located in the freezer section behind the back panel. Model and serial
number should be inside the refrigerator compartment, Part should be available
at an appliance parts store. Hope this helps.

Fridge side stays cold for about 3 weeks or less and loose temperature, turn off for 1 hour and its back to normal.

Some newer refrigerators have been using an electronic board instead of an mechanical defrost timer. The adaptive defrost control does the same job as the defrost timer ( shuts off the refrigerator cooling items and redirects the power to the defrost heater for the defrosting cycle, then redirects the power to the compressor and fans to come back on when the defrost cycle is over ). This adaptive defrost system is a bit different when testing, normally speaking if the defrost heater and defrost thermostat ohm ok, we replace the adaptive defrost board.

My fridge side by side the freezer develop a lot of ice in the back and wont defrost it supposed to defrost by it self but it wont, tried to clean the back and remove all the melted water from the back ,...

Your problem is in the defroster circuit . Most defroster circuits contain only three components. They are : a timer , a heating element , and a temperature sensing cutoff switch.
Your refrigerator defrost timer shuts down normal operation every six to eight hours and goes into the defrost cycle.
Line voltage is applied to the heating element . It heats up and melts the ice on the evaporator. Once the ice is melted, and the evaporator area warms up to a certain temperature, the temperature sensing cut off switch opens up and stops the current flow through the circuit. The timer is a running clock, so to speak , and will eventually deactivate the defrost cycle return the refrigerator to its normal operation .
Normally, the element or sensing switch will be the component to replace. Also, sometimes it can be just a bad connection in the element and sensor wire connectors.

Ice maker, water dispenser stopped working first, now the refrigerator/ freezer will not stay cold all the time. Just figured out today that if you push the light buttom (by the ice and water buttons) it

The light switch turns on the dispenser when door is closed if switch is not defective. If the temperatures are increasing in freezer and fresh food compartment it is most likely the defrost heater and defrost thermostat will need replaced. Look to see if ice is building on the rear wall of the freezer. If yes unplug and remove the rear panel in back of freezer and defrost with hair dryer or a bucket of hot water setting inside freezer with door closed. This way when defrosted you can examine the 2 parts that may be defective listed above, Thanks Sea Breeze

GE Spacemaker JVM1339ww002 - looking for photo of plugs in control board plugs for reassembly or a wiring diagram? Disassembled without noting locations and now start & clear buttons do not work. I have a very old model GE spacemaker XL microwave, model# JVM1339ww002. I repaired the #1 key by cleaning contacts and reinserting the ribbon connector to the control panel. However, I did not photograph the connections. Some plugs have only 1 location where they fit. However, 2 pairs of plugs are the same size and I do not know the correct place to reinsert them. I took a guess & reassembled the microwave and it worked except for the start/clear buttons. If you press a number 2 shortcut for example, it will cook 2 minutes and the food is heated. However, start and clear do not work at all. These buttons DID work before I repaired the numbers. I contacted GE and they gave me a hard time about providing the wiring diagram which was removed or not inside my microwave. I am not sure if I reassembled the plugs wrong OR if I broke something else when I was repairing the numbers. Can anyone help me with the right locations for the 2 pairs of plugs listed below? And/Or tell me if it sounds like start & clear are a new problem or will be resolved by getting the plugs correct? These are the 2 sets of plugs that can be inserted in either location: 1) a pair of matching white plugs that snap in place along the bottom (1 has white wires only and the other has 1 white/1 black wire) 2) a pair of red and white plugs of equal size in the middle of the board. They are similar (but smaller) to plugs in wall outlet with 2 prongs. Similar to a wall outlet, you can rotate the plug 180 degrees and they still fit. In other words besides asking which plug is upper or lower, do I need to worry if the plug is upside down or this doesn't matter? The red plug has black wires, while the white plug has blue and white wires.
