Question about Singer Touch Sew 7462 Mechanical Sewing Machine
Have you inadvertantly disengaged the feed dogs? There will be a switch or lever that lowers them (for free-motion quilting, etc.), be sure it is in the 'normal' position not the 'quilting' position.

Does the feed dogs move at all?
If not soulds like a busted gear. Take the botom panel off and inspect the gears should be able to get some from a sewing dealer and replace them if your mechanical. watch a youtub video on timing a sewing machine and you will do great.
