Question about Proview PL713S 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
I have two that are about three years old. About two months ago they both went blank. I just cannot get them to work.
My PL713S started showing all kinds of stuff when powered on, then
nothing but black.I searched online and found one post that said to check the capacitors in the power supply. I did, found 3 bad (bulging
tops). I replaced all 6 of the 470's plus the 220 (smaller one beside
the 470's). After replacing the caps, it would power up but go to standby (yellow light). I checked the supply again, found the 100uf
400volt cap with a bulge (larger capacitor laying on its side next to the 470's I had replaced). Replaced it and voila the monitor works again. If anyone reads this , I hope it helps......
