Truly, it all depends on what's really wrong it and if it's worth the price to fix it to YOU, doesn't it? Only a tech can look at it and tell you the cost to fix it. We can't just hold our heads to the screen and mind-meld with it.

Are you sure you wired up the head unit correctly? It is fairly uncommon for a audio output amplifier to blow out leaving 3 working speakers and 1 not working. So more than likely it is bad wiring or a blown speaker. Best bet would be get a digital multimeter and ohm out the speaker and see if it has continuity and is the same as the adjacent speaker. You could also try swapping the left/right channel wiring and see if the front right speaker stops working when connected to the left speaker output or vice versa.

I have a problem with the right hand speaker

this can be a faulty jack socket on your laptop, i.e. has been knocked a couple times with the jack. to test wiggle the jack till other speaker pops in. if this doesn't work switch where the speakers attach to if the right hand speaker starts to work through the left channel then their is issues with the right channel, try switching the aux lead if it comes back then its just the wire if not it can either be your jack socket on the laptop or a blown connection on the speakers.

you can pay for people to repair these but your looking at least 100 labour and parts

it seems that the right channel is blown. the unit has no fuses inside, most likelly output transistors are gone. not easy fixable, you need to bring it to a repair shop. if you are in nj you may brong to ebcelectronics

Test the speaker itself. If the speaker is blown replace the speaker(s). If your has a volume control, I suspect the control may have blown. Test it with an ohmmeter. Inexpensive fix if it has blown.

Smoked a card or module on top left hand side of reciever and none of my speakers on surround sound and throughout the house work.Is it worth fixing or get a new receiver?

I think one of the amplifier channels is blown. The repair is about $120. Check prices for new receivers and decide. Thanks.

Playing too loud music has blown my amp

maybe because your amp is overload, try to load 8 ohms single speaker per channel, then try to playing loud, if blown your amp again, the power transistors bias maybe excess to 0.6V ' if transistorized, if IC power amp, check cooling fan.

Blown channel

You cannot fix the receiver unless you are a technician with the proper tools and circuit diagrams. I would think it worth the cost of repair though.
