SOURCE: How do I change baud rate to 9600 on Epson CX9400Fax?

This fax speed is 33.6 or 33600
You can change settings to 14.4 or 14400 but not to 9.6 or 9600.
Under: Fax Settings you have this choices:
Speed Dial Setup
Scan and print setup
Communication
Header and time

Under Communication:
DRD
ECM - error correction put this one: off
V.34 - this one is for speed: on - 34400; off - 14400

Baud Rate is to lower the transmission speed of the fax, however these are the temp settings and once the power is off you have to reconfigure that. Follow the following steps :

    1. 159 - Receiving Fax baud rate
    • 153 - Transmitting Fax baud rate
    1. The screen will read Cfg param val: 26
    1. Enter in the value ____ and then press the Check Mark .
    1. 0 = V.17 14400
    • 2 = V.17 9600

SOURCE: Need to change Baude rate of HP 4215 all-in-one mechine

That might help. Faxing is signal timing specific. I believe they are sent from the factory to run at "fast" which is 33.6kbps. Try to set it to medium first (14.4) if no luck set to Slow (9.6). Try these steps:

    1. Press Setup .
    2. Select Advanced Fax Setup .
    3. Press OK .
    4. Select Fax Speed .
    5. Press OK .
    6. Select Medium .
    7. Press OK .
    Good luck!

How can I change the baud rate on my HP Laserjet 3380?

There is no baud rate to this printer, it's either parallel cable or USB cable. Baud rate refers to the old serial cable connections, com1 or com2. You can add memory to this printer to make it print more documents faster. Try this location:

How do I change the baud rate to 9600 on an HP Laserjet All in one 3015

The baud rate is usually determined by the receiving machine. When one fax contacts another, they negotiate their send/receive rates. That's an automatic function and not generally adjustable on modern faxes.
