My amp is on but the subs don't work Kenwood amp

Ok. Simple test to check if your subs are blown. Hook up speaker wire and simply touch each wire to each end of a new aa battery. You should hear like a sizzling static sound from the sub and it should jump slightly if its good. If subs are good you may be having issues with the connection terminals or worse. And it could simply be the audio connection from the stereo or the audio wires need replaced. Possibly replace the stereo or amp. So many more options but this should get you headed in the right direction.

Pyle troubleshooting

You've obviously checked battery strength, battery connection and volume settings for the dead mic...does the green transmit (RF) LED light when you turn the mic on? Does the red audio (AF) LED light when you talk into the mic? Best solution....buy a better quality wireless system ($85 wireless?!? ...no thanks).

The radio recieves great rf power works rodger beep works throws a good strong signal on other radios has a new mic but no modulation

Is this new mic wired for your radio? just because it fits the socket doesnt mean its right. Did the old mic do the same thing reason why you got the new one? just sounds more like a loose wire at the jack where the mic plugs in? has that connector ever been loose or needed tightened at any time?

I have a uniden 68xl with no audio. The audio chip is good. It has key and swing just no ears. What else could it be?

make sure the RF gain is on max.

If the meter is moving when receiving, but you don't hear it, it could be the mic. Try a different mic and see if it works. It could also be a broken wire to the mic jack.

If the meter doesn't swing when some one is transmitting to you and you don't hear them, there could be either something wrong in the receive section of the radio, a bad resistor in conjunction with the RF gain control, or it could just be a bad knob.

You can hot wire it to full to check it like this:

Look for the wires on the RF gain knob. Its 2 wires. Disconnect them form the knob and twist or solder them together. If you have receive after that its a bad knob.

You can replace it, or just solder the wires permenantly together and put some shrink tube on it and use it like that. You don't need RF gain any way.

Most of the time its on full any way. no need to turn it down.

Dropped the mic.

I would imagine the mic element broke. To test, remove from the case and without touching anything else, touch (using a small screwdriver if need be) the solder connections on the wires for the mic element (while system is up). Hum? Yes? bad mic element. No? Problem with electronics. Look for broken wires also.
The receiver shows signal so RF is ok. You have a problem with the audio section.

We have a Sennheiserew100 G2 mic kit with a wireless lav mic and transmitter we use for a canon xh-a1. The shotgun mic has been prefect but the lav mic is creating a static/noise in the background but then...

This is probably interference in the wireless connection for the lavalier mic.
Try switching channels to find a clear one!
Or switch to a wired lav mic if that's practical.

zeus_s007- This is a pretty technical, request so i hope you understand my instructions. I hope the harness plug is present, this makes it easier.First of all i'll give you the wire colors, there are a couple the same color and we will start there.
tan-left front speaker-positive
gray-left front speaker-negative
light green-right front speaker-pos.
dark green-right front sreaker-neg.
brown-left rear speaker-pos.
yellow-left rear speaker-neg.
dark blue-right rear speaker-pos.
light blue-right rear speaker-neg.
orange-12volt constant-memory
black-ground
yellow- 12volt key switched-may be bigger than yellow speaker wire-we can check the wires, will explain later.
gray - dash dimmer
brown-dash dimmer
You don't need the last 2 mentioned, any others left over not needed.
The safest way to check the 2 brown, grey, and yellow is to use a AA battery, as a speaker tester. You take the colored wires for the speakers and touch the AA battery to them. For example you know the 2blue ones are right rear wires-so take the AA battery and touch one blue to the one end of the AA battery and the other end to the other blue wire, you will hear static on that speaker. This will let you know the 2 proper wires for the speaker,no static -wrong wire.you only have to do this for the grey, brown, and yellow wires.Well I hope I don't confuse you,if your not sure, let me know.Good luck, happy wiring.
