Question about Vulcan GHF91G Deep Fryer

1 Answer

We just bought a restaurant and it came with a fryer. All equipment on the gas line (range, grill) work, but cannot get the fryer pilot to stay on. It will light, but not stay on. I've followed instructions on the door (steps 2,3.4) but, alas, nothing

Grill burners not working correctly. There are 3 burners under our grill. the left one has pilot light on but wont light burner middle and left burners will only work if turned clear up to high

Not familiar with these models, but it sounds to me like it could be a gas pressure problem...? Is there a regulator - sometimes they fail. Are any other appliances hooked into the same gas line? If so, how well are they functioning?

Need to know where to light pilot

Normally, it's under the fryer, inside the door...The issue almost always is you have to press the button down long enough for the sensor to tell the fryer to light....There are 3 or 4 burners in the bottom of the frypot on top and under the fryer is the pilot to light these all up...Look for the gas valve, turn the gas valve to pilot, and press and hold it down, put flame to pilot and release button when flame is self standing... Then turn to on position. If you have other issues, call the Vulcan company themselves, and they will help you further.... Susan Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cinc, Oh

I can't turn on the pilot. Gas is on, Followed instructions -turn to on position then to pilot and pressing...Maybe I'm not locating the pilot. Appreciate your help Thanks A

Usually when this problem occurs, you are not holding the button down long enough... It takes a few minutes for the sensor to tell the pilot to light... Once you light it, then turn valve to ON...It just takes alittle longer to heat it up than most people think it should, so they stop, and it never lights that way. Hold the button down, and it should be in pilot position first. Once it's lit, then to ON. Does yours have a pilot or just ON? If you only have ON, then it should be turned to there...

I have the AF45 fryer. I cannot light the pilot on this fryer. I have tried all possible solutions to this but still wont work.

Normally, on manual gas fryers, people don't hold down the light pilot button long enough for the sensors to heat up, to tell the pilot to light.... That's our number one complaint, and number one service call, and it's almost always the same thing;..... Hold the button down much longer, then try to light it... If you still have trouble, call our service tech, Ray @ 888-542-5959, at Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, Ohio. Thanks, Susan REO

We have a double Pico Friolator. Took over from previous restaurant. Can't seem to light pilot. Can you walk us thru it?

If it's a manual gas, then you have to hold the pilot button down for awhile, in order for the sensors to tell the pilot to lite....It takes some time. If you need help, call our service tech, Ray, at 888-542-5959 at Restaurant Equipment Outlet, Cincinnati, Ohio. He's pretty good over the phone even...Thanks, Susan

Blew out the gas valve because they sold me the wrong regulator

Goto, type your model in.Before you try to fire it up i strongly suggest you check the gas pressure on the gas line or you will blow the valve again.

Gf 40 frymaster fryer

Hi, I am suposing that this fryer has worked good in this location before. If not, check to make sure it is set up right for your gas supply. (LP-Nat) There is something wrong with the gas - air flow in your unit. Look for obvious things first like exhaust being blocked, Flame dancing out side of fire area, Pilot too small, Build up of debris in fire box. The pilot should be able to be adjusted at the gas valve if it is too small. I believe you problem could be taken care of best with a good cleaning of the burner, fire box and pilot assemble. Make sure that all burner holes are clean especially around the pilot light. Check for oily debris inside the fire box to make sure its not leaking into the fire area. If you are unable to do this yourself, contact some one either in the restaurant equipment service business or heating and air conditioning business. Hope I have helped you. kstfas NOTE: If this answer does not rate at least 4 marks, (almost there) please do not rate. Thank You.
