Question about SATO Cl412e Label Printer

Open Question

Hi, I am using SATO CL412e printer(network printer) and getting below error while printing a BarTender label: Error :3700 BarTender cannot use printer '\\\SATO CL412e' to design, print or export a label format due to a printer setup problem. There are several possible reasons: 1) The printer is not turned on or is off line. Try printing a test page from Windows. 2) The printer does not exist on your system or network. 3) Security settings prevent access to the printer. 4) If you use a network for printing, there may be a problem with the network connection or the printer driver. 5) There may not be enough memory available. Try closing files and programs you aren't using. 6) The printer driver is installed incorrectly. Try reinstalling the printer driver. Please help me to resolve this printing issue.

I am using Bartender software and a I4208 printer. It won't print on the first 1/10th inch of a 1inch x 4inch label. It also won't present after printing. Any help would be great. This printer is set up as...

In Seagull driver/Bartender software, Present Distance may be called Tear Off and can be adjusted after checking Post-Print actions in Document Properties, Stock tab. Standard setting is 0.40 inches.
On the same tab, right below that, is "Top Offset", and that adjustment may get you the lower Start of Print you want. Ok to try negative number here.

Ribbon not printing correctly on new labels have a sato CL412E and we are using the same ink ribbons we always use (premium wax/resin ribbon TRX-55) and we just started using new labels from a new company...

The ribbon / label combination usually doesn't have anything to do with print position of the fields on the label. Is the quality/durability of the print that you are seeing on the new labels the same as before ? With a glossier stock print quality should actually be better. This will at least tell you that the ribbon is correct for the new label stock. Is the new label a different size than previous labels ? That could account for the fields not printing in the correct position if the printer is not calibrating correctly on the new size.

Not sure if this will help but may give some ideas...

Hi there! I work with Zebra TLP2844 through

If you are using Bartender, Make sure to use the Seagull Scientific Zebra Driver. The zebra driver works (but not properly) with bartender. Download the driver from Seagull Scientific site. You can also email bartender tech support, their contact details are available from the help screen on the main bartender design screen. I have always found them to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
