Question about Sanyo PLC-XU45 LCD Projector

1 Answer

I have a Sanyo PLC XU45 projector which recently gegan to shut down after about 10 secs after switch on countdown (30s). All Fans working OK. I've cleaned the filter (which was clogged). Funny thing, when I turn it on it's side it works perfectly (could it have something to do with the thermistor?).

How many hrs are on it? I suspect the lamp is going out of it... Buy another lamp and go from there. This way even if it isn't the lamp you will have one in stock. But if it is, you have just fixed your porjector.... Good luck..HDTV GURU JAY

We are having one sanyo plc xu 78 projector.when it began to switch it on the count down screen will displays when the count down timing is coming to 0 then its directly going to stand by mode. its not...

The countdown shows while the unit is going through its internal circuit testing. Usually if a problem is found, there will be indications with the standby lights and lamp/temp lights. Are there any other indications here or just the unit going into standby?

Lamp goes out after 10-15 seconds

Recently had a similar issue.
When I took the lamp out (Let it cool for awhile first), there was dust all over one side preventing air from the fans from cooling the lamp, so it shut itself off after getting too hot.

Sanyo PLC-XF46N projector shuts down before powering up completely

The Fix Ya rep suggested that I try the "Reset" button located next to the Audio out on the side of the projector; this solution proved to be the fix I needed. I was able to get the lamps to warm up and get into the menu to cut back the bulbs/power consumption on start-up, allowing the projector to function for a problem-free 4 hour period Unfortunately, I had the same issue this morning, but the same fix worked again.

LCD PROJECTOR GOES BLANK

Check the cooling fan/ air ducts - sounds like it's overheating and shutting off to prevent damage.
