If your wifi card came with a cd (it should have come with install disk). put that in your cd/dvd drive before you plug in the card. run the cd and follow the instructions which will include installation of any necessary drivers. during this process the software will tell you to put the card in the slot.
after you are done with this, most likely you will do a re-boot of your computer, when it starts up again you should now have wifi radio operating. open the icon that is your wifi and tell it to search for WIFI in your house or nearby, when it finds on click on connect. if your wifi is protected by password you will be asked for it. good luck

I have an older emachine desktop without wi-fi

You can buy a WIFI card that installs into the PCI slots on your MB, or you can buy WIFI USB cards that are equally as powerful. Just be sure to buy the correct WIFI Product that is suitable with the WIFI signal you are trying to get on, i.e. 802.11 B, G, and N. Hope this helps. I installed a TP-Link WIFI PCI card in my 8 year old Acer Aspire T650 and it works great. Good luck.

Can i take the wifi from my dell optiplex 160l and put it in my acer computer?

The answer to your question will depend on what expansion slots your new Acer desktop computer has and whether one of these will match the specific 'half mini PCI-e' card which is used in the Dell Optiplex 160L per http://www.dell.com/uk/business/p/optiplex-160/pd which states it is an Optional Dell Wireless 1397 802.11BG Half Mini-PCIe card.
You will also need to obtain the device drivers for this wireless card in order to use it in the Acer.
Given that the Dell wireless card is only an 11/54MB standard card (802.11BG) I would recommend buying a newer 802.11N wireless card which will be sold with the necessary device driver and software applications needed, will give higher speed connectivity access and be much simpler to install and manage.

I have blue tooth botton in my acer aspire 5720 when i push that botton the message appers no blurtooth device can any 1 tell me how can i solve this problem..?or if this message means no blue tooth hard...

On some acer model, it will come with a bluetooth swtich. In your case, you have a blue tooth swtich but the hardware card is not install. You will need to purchase this bluetooth card separatly and installed in one of the option mini pci expansion slot on the back your computer when you take the back service panel card out. The mini expansion slot should be located where your wifi card is isntalled.

How to reple wifi 5610

It is underneath the unit you will see removable flaps, unscrew the biggest one, usually it is there, the WiFi card is a small card with Antenna wires coming out of it, it slots into a MiniPCI slot. Check this also check your WiFi isn't turned OFF via the switch.

Hi

I'm not sure, please open the computer case and see if there is a free pci slot.

Note that opening the computer might void warranty.

Also, you would do fine with a USB Wifi adapter. cost around the same if not cheaper.

Thanks and good luck,
let me know if you need anything else.

What mini pci WIFI card can I use in my Acer Aspire L310?

this laptop has 1 mini card slot for optional wireless LAN (selected models) just choose any decent aftermarket wireless g card and it will work , givin it's drivers are installed correctly and the laptop is set to autoconfigure the wi-fi. Most are set like this by default.
you also have a port for rj-45 , so having a 6ft network cable would be handy if you were sonewhere like a hotel which had free internet but no wireless.

System do not reconize the PCI card

Does it ask for a driver to be installed? Or have you got the wireless version of the mobo that needs an ASUS WiFi-b add-on card with an omni-directional antenna?

Like on the previous version of the mainboard, the PCB contains five PCI slots and an exclusive WiFi slot, in its left part. By the way, when you install the original WLAN card from ASUS into this slot, the last PCI becomes unavailable. Now let’s examine the card, too.
wifi-s.jpg
The card supports the wireless networking protocol IEEE 802.11b, describing data-transfer rates up to 11Mb/s. Using the software that accompanies the card, you can use it in the Ad Hoc as well as in the Infrastructure mode, and the card can perform the functions of a programmable access point, providing connections to 31 clients. Thus, the owner of the WiFi-b kit can easily deploy wireless networks and connect to existing ones.
