Remowe the plate and clean oil drain and check oil tank cap is ther air inlet clean.
If its not helping is oil pump faulty.

My oregan power now chainsaw does not appear to use much chain oil

Make sure saw dust not blocking where oil comes onto chain-Make sure you are using correct chain oil for Season/Outside temperature-Summer or winter oil-Chainsaws on the whole use little chain oil-on inspection of chain and Bar area you should see a smear of oil-Check wood you have cut there should be small traces of oil if not clean unit and verify oil type.If this doesn't work return unit there is a Factory defect.

Run it on a 25-1 fuel oil mix with good quaility two stroke oil, use a non fling chain oil in the chain oil tank to lubricate the cutting chain

40:1 will work fine if you use modern synthetic saw oils.

30 to 1 is about right for this engine. Be sure to use chain saw engine oil, and not boat motor or 4-stroke engine oil. Be sure to premix the oil and fuel before pouring into the saw. Good luck!

Excessive chain oil coming from oil tank onto the chain.

change the oil cap put a new one on the problem should go away.
