You only need compatible dvd player software to listen to movie dvd disks. For playing standard audio cd disks, nothing is needed since this support comes built in-to the OS, (Windows XP or higher)

EVERYTHING I WATCH IS MOVING FAST!!!

Darn, that sounds like a time machine!

Whatever it is, though, it's hardly related to the TV if it only shows during movie playback and not in live TV.

42in insignia tv im trying to watch a movie and there is no sound how do i get it on

Try going into the Audio Settings and set the digital audio to PCM.

If the movie you are trying to watch is the only movie this happens with, try pressing the audio button on the DVD remote to change the audio stream.

You should also set yout DVD players audio output to PCM as well.

Hope this helps!
