Question about Husqvarna Rose

1 Answer

Tension problem? When I try to embroider, the top thread keeps balling up under the fabric; I've tried different tension numbers (4 is recommended), but I can't get it right. The needle seems to stick, and the bobbin jumps a lot. This happens sometimes when I use the decorative stitches, but not a lot. I usually have the tension set at 2 for decorative stitches. HI Judy

These may be obvious thoughts that you have already looked into but when I have these problems they are usually resolved by one of the following@

1. Clean out the area around the bobin
2. Put a good stabalixer under the fabric in the hoop.
3. Check I am using the correct emroidery needle
4. Use correct thread for fabric.

Sorry if you have done all of these

Pulls bobbin thread through when embroidering smaller sized letters

Try loosening the top tension a little. When doing embroidery, it is usually a good idea to set the upper tension a bit looser to keep more of the thread on the underside of the fabric.

My bobbin thread keeps coming to the top of my fabric during embroidering on my Singer Futura CE350, I've tried bobbin embroidery thread, regular embroidery thread and clear nylon thread, I've tried...

With the embroidering, some of the bobbin thread is SUPPOSED to show on the top of your embroidery-the machine isn't doing anything incorrectly. You'll need to thread your bobbin with the same thread as you are using with the top. I had the same "problem" when I first got the machine and took it to a wonderful local technician whose helped me with a lot of things who informed me that this is perfectly normal on embroidery machines.

Thread is balling up and not allowing the fabric to move it isn't stitching right

This can be caused by several different things. Check the threading. Un-thread the machine and follow the guidance on the manual and re-thread the machine. The bobbin, if the bobbin thread that coming out of the bobbin case in a wrong direction, could cause this. Re-set the direction. When you pull thread from the bobbin case, bobbin should roll counter clockwise. The needle, if it is not the right size needle for the fabric or the needle is slightly bent, maybe replace the needle and try with different size of needle. Once its balling up, sometimes it's left some thread in the machine under the needle plate around the feed dog, clean them up. Thread tension, different fabric may need to be adjust the thread tension, try to check this one under the manuals/instruction. When ready, check and use a scrap of fabric/remnants!

Top thread - not bobbin thread - bunches up under fabric where feed dogs are when I'm embroidering.

this is a top thread tension problem . make shure thread is between tension plates and spring is contacting the plate if the tension number is high

Thread breaks when embroidering

Try changing threads. If you're not using embroidery thread specifically, the "treatments" they use on different threads can really cause problems.

Tension problem

For Staight Stitch.
Ideal

When adjusting top thread the Higher the number (on the little wheel) the tighter the top thread.

Results depend on
Stiffness and thickness of the fabric, number of fabric layers and type of stitch.

Are you using paper or a plastic bag or pellon under the fabric? This gives a smoother surface for embroidery (on the reverse) and you can cut it away after the design is complete.
