Hello,

The problem is either from the lamp or ballast. Have you ever changed the lamp/bulb of your TV?

When the LED shows green, it means it is a lamp problem.

The ballast helps to ignite the lamp and make it function well. So you might have to replace the ballast also.

Good luck.

Bought a Panasonic plasma tv. Th-42PW5. Had to run thru VCR due to lack of connections available. Picture is entirely green. What can I do?

sounds like the cable or connections are not good. Your not getting all the signals or the tv needs adjustment/recalibration (if it is good).

does it have a test or demo mode to see if it is good?

some possibly useful links:

. Google

I purchased a used Panasonic Plasma TV TH-42Pw5. I finally got a picture by hooking it up through a vcr, but the color is completely green. When using the remote instruction colors are varied. HELP!

usually a single color is caused by a bad connection to the display I would guess that a connector inside the TV has come partially loose causing this this is quite common on the computers at my work due to vibration before taking the TV apart I suggest replacing the external cables to the VCR

My 15 month Celcus LCD423D913FHD tv will not turn on. The standby light is lit and will flicker but will not power up the tv. What is the likely problem?

Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Panasonic Plasma - turns on, but stays blank.

Your TV probably has power supply trouble.

My panasonic model #TH-50PX75U wont turn on, it powers up but the led light stay on not blinks any time.

Unplug the power cord. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, repeat. Plug it back in and try to turn it on.
If this doesn't work, it would be time to call in a repair tech. Is the TV still under warranty? Extended warranty?

Need a four digit code for comcast universal remote for panasonic th-42px80u

Hello
Four digit universal remote codes for Panasonic TV are:
0171 0148 0054 0170 0062 0374 0381 0437 0950 0003 0070
Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.
Code Search If after trying "Direct Code Entry" your device does not respond, or if your brand is not listed, try doing a search of the code library for your code by following these steps.
  1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
  4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.
Most users will want to store VCR codes under the VCR button, Cable codes under CBL, etc. If you want to store a VCR code under CBL, etc., first follow the procedure for Direct Code Entry and press CBL in step 2 of Direct Code Entry, then enter ANY VCR code in step 3 of Direct Code Entry. Then follow the steps above for Code Search.

Screen turns bright green and stays that way until I turn the TV off and then back on. Ususally happens during channel surfing.

I had the exact same problem with my Toshiba 26" LCD; it ended out being my cable box. The cable guy switched it out for a better model, and poof! No more problem. P.S., you don't have to turn the unit off and on; simply press a menu or information button and it will come right back. Using the TV power button that often can be hard on your set.
