CALL YOUR CARRIER!!! I have T-Mobile, needed my BB Pearl unlocked for my mother to use on ATT. I called T-Mobile customer service, gave them the IMEI from the phone, and they emailed me the 16 digit unlock code in less than 24 hours. It was FREE, if you dont have a carrier to call, youre gonna have to quit being so cheap, and pay someone to get you an unlock code.
Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. Below you will see the Instructions for unlocking your Blackberry 8100 Pearl device.
1. Press the Menu key.
2. Scroll to Options and press the trackball.
3. Scroll to Advanced Options and press the trackball.
4. Scroll to SIM Card and press the trackball.
5. Type MEPPD
Note: When typing in MEPPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization on the device.
6. Press the Alt key and type MEPP2
Note: When typing in MEPP2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen. This Step opens up the Enter Network MEP code box.
7. Enter unlock code.
8. Press the Enter Key.

No one can give you free unlock code. because each blackberry have different unlock code. As far as i know unlocking by codes is the simple and safe way.You will need the unique MEP Code for your Blackberry and to get it you can use a website with service for Blackberry unlocking .so you can use a website to Unlock your Blackberry 8100 online instantly - OR local mobile shop .they are mostly using cables to unlock it and the price is higher then on unlocking websites but the result is the same: SIM free Blackberry.

There is a lot of online companies that will send you your unlock code for relatively cheap ($1.99-10.99 depending on model). To get to the screen where you input this code: 1. press the blackberry key 2. scroll to options 3. select advanced options 4. select sim card- there will be a blank screen and it will say something like no valid sim card at the top. 6. there is no place to enter these characters so just press them as instructed: m e p p 2 (the two is actually alt + t) 7. It will say enter network MEP code and the number of attempts you have left, this is where you cannot go alot any longer. Every phone has a different MEP code... so purchase it or ask your current service provider for it. Oh and don't lie about being gifted phones, we all know you stole it at a party just like I did...

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

To unlock your phone you will need to enter the code. This code is just a calculation of IMEI number of your phone. To find your phones IMEI number -type *#06# into your phone or look under the phone battery.
There are different online services that will calculate the unlock code for your IMEI number.
I can recommend this one (cheap and reliable).
