Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

We moved from UK to Australia with my HP Photosmart D5160and I have purchased the new printer cartridges recommended by HP 98 for 339 and 95 for 343. My printer will not recognise the new cartridges and I am stuck! Can you recommend a solution? HP phone support could not help as they say the printer is a legacy printer.

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Brought the photosmart C4180 in the U.K. ,now living in Australia ,new compatable cartridges show an error message when installed

Just try to remove and reinsert the cartridges. You might also wanna clean the printheads with a damp lint free cloth. And See what happens.

My uk printer photo smart C4180 is not recognising black ink98 and colour95. i cant find any other suitable inks in australia

Buddy you need to contact HP Support. Your printer which you bought and were using in UK is not regionalized for Australia so contact Australia HP Support and get your printer set to that region and then the cartridges will work which you buy in Australia.

Dont worry if your printer is out of warranty,You will get free support because you are facing regionalization.

I need to get a regionalization reset for my HP, to change from America to UK in order to accept UK print cartridges.

You will need much more than that. You will also need a 220 Volt Power supply and connections.

I will probably be cheaper to purchase a new printer.

Use HP 363 cartridges instead of 177 for my Photosmart C7183

Phone HP.  After about a month hanging on, on their premium rate number, you'll finally be put through to someone who doesn't understand the problem.  Then, after your beard has grown another inch or two, if you're lucky, you'll actually get someone who understands the problem.  Some birthday's later, you'll be connected to a technician who can talk you through a simple number of keystrokes to re-configure the printer.
Reckon this cost me 30 UK pounds - seriously -  I had to call five times  but eventually it was done.
