a piece of paper might have been stucked within the papers better check it. or it also could be the misplace of the wheels on the paper detector. check it too.

I have a Ativa DQ60M Paper Shredder and it is very clogged with paper and it looks like some of the blades are slightly bent. Can it be sent in for repair or warranty?

Office Depot item #405935: Ativa DQ83M Diamond-Cut Shredder (mine show model ...Mn. It has a 1-year warranty for product, BUT ALSO a 3-year warranty for the "cutting cylinders". Call 1-877-777-HELP; www.ativaproducts.com .
I called 12-29-2010. Rep had difficulty finding product, put me on hold, found it. Said prod only has 1-yr w (per Office Depot online, this is all that is given as to info); but I said, no, 3-yr on cutter. I held again, rep researched and agreed. I took a case number and tried rep's troubleshooting suggestion: I put 3-in-1 oil (veg oil suggested by rep too) on the jammed shredded paper (machine still would go in reverse BTW); I let it soak 5 mins, removed paper, tried shredding, and paper jammed again. No replacement parts are avl. I called again, gave case number. Rep suggested I oil the cutter now that paper was removed. I said cutters are oiled from removing paper. I was put on hold, only a short while.

Good outcome thus far: I was given fax number and instructions to receive gift card in 6-8 weeks upon their receipt of my fax (to 1-888-561-0785) of case number, name (first and last), mailing address, and copy of the receipt.

What I learned: Do the maintenance oiling monthly or more if needed! Try to buy a shredder that is beyond my shred needs, e.g., a 10-sheet cutter but use it only up to 8 pages. Try to buy a shredder that has replacement parts.

The price of the Ativa in 2008 was $40 ($30 instant savings taken at the register), and it didn't get daily or regular use.

Good product support on this Ativa product. Glad I saved my manual and receipt!!

I have the same problem, my printer has been sitting unused for over a year now because I cannot afford to keep getting it serviced just to make 3 prints before it malfunctions again. I beleive it is paper dust getting on a sensor somewhere - I wish I knew how to service the printer myself! So if a solution is given to you I will be very interested in it!

I CLEARED A PAPER JAM ON T8024 AND RESTARTED THE MACHINE. IT STARTED SHOWING REGISTRATION JAM. HELP ME TO SOLVE THSI PROBLEM

Check the following possibilities that may causing the error message.
1. Some times more paper may be taken in the paper feed area, check for any other paper jam in other area of the printer.
2. Remove all the printer drives, ports and uninstall the printer software and once again reinstall it by following steps given below
Start - Control Panel - Add and Remove Programs - Remove the program in the list called Tally Laser printer.
By now you have uninstall the software and now reinstall the software with the available cd given at the time of printer purchase and start printing.

there is worm virus that will make a printer print until it runs out of paper and if you add more paper it will keep printing till it runs out again i would take the paper out of the machine and run an antivirus scan on your computer usually the print is not legible with this virus

thats not the test page my friend that is the allignment page what you are getting out again n again.you just place that printed side of the paper on the scanner glassand then press the scan button in your printer the-- on --light will blink for sometime and then stops that means the allignment is complete.and it will never come again till you replace that particular cartridges.
it is also given on that page which comes out what to press with proper diagrams also see that for proper idea.do not do any thing in your computer till that period.it should only be done with the printer.
