After using PC Fixer my 64 bitr machine hangs during windows 7 boot

I have tried all of the startup fixes F8, F11, etc. My machine will not go past the "Windows Starting" logo screen. It hangs at that point in startup. It will not go the Safe Mode. It appears PC Fixer corruptted some/all windows execution files. I can find many Restore Points, but none successfully resttore the system. PC Fixer is still on the machine, but since I cannot get Windows to launch, this doesn't matter. I will be deleting it when/if the machine is repaired.

When we purchase a new laptop we get a recovery disc or we may ask for it from the company we own a laptop if it comes preinstalled with a laptop.
Anyways to cope up with this problem you just need your windows 7 cd or recovery disk.
Insert it into the system and boot from the cd.

After the regular process you just need to select repair windows option.

Could you please let me know with more details? Is PC Fixer still installed on your computer? At the moment, I would recommend you to try Safe Mode. Restart your machine and keep tapping F8 key on the keyboard once you see the POST screen and select "Safe Mode" from the lists of available options.
Please clarify with more details so that I can help you better. Thanks.

My cf-w7 hang after abt 15 mins

If this just started roll it back by with System Restore. Under Safe Mode (press F8 during boot and choose Safe Mode).

In Win 7 - Start > Start > Search type System Restore.

In XP - Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Restore. Now choose a date prior to problem. You may have to try a few dates.

There is the option of uninstalling last program(s) that was installed, again in safe mode.

You also try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

Can i convert a 32 bit to a 64 bit

You can use the Upgrade option during Windows 7 installation, which preserves your files, settings, and programs, only if you're currently running a 32-bit version of Windows Vista and you want to upgrade to the 32-bit version of Windows 7. Similarly, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, you can only perform an upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows 7. For more information, go to Upgrading to Windows 7: frequently asked questions on the Windows website.
If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or vice versa, you'll need to back up your files and choose the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. Then, you'll need to restore your files and reinstall your programs. For more information about performing a custom installation, see Installing and reinstalling Windows 7‍.
gl_ico.png Notes
  • To install a 64-bit version of Windows 7 on a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows, you'll need to start, or boot, your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files.
  • If you start your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files, but your computer isn't capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll see a Windows Boot Manager error. You'll need to use a 32-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files instead.
  • Windows Easy Transfer can't transfer files from a 64-bit version of Windows to a 32-bit version of Windows. If you're running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista but you plan to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7, you can move your files to an external location manually or use Backup and Restore in Windows Vista. For more information, go to Back up your files and

PC BOOTS HALF WAY

Try booting into safe mode. If it's a driver problem, safe mode will allow you to start Windows with only the bare minimum of hardware and drivers being engaged. To get to safe mode, press the F8 button on your keyboard during the Windows boot process until it takes you to a screen to let you select Normal, Safe Mode, Safe Mode with networking, etc. I would suggest not using anything other than just Safe Mode. From there, uninstall any software or new drivers that you recently installed. Alternatively, you can use the System Restore feature to rollback to a previous restore point.

Read this tutorial on JSKYS site.

Follow each step carefully. If you can't make the repair

with these steps...download the 64-bit version of

Windows 7 Beta at this link. If you lack the capability

to burn an ISO image to a DVD then skip this step.

We recently installed 7 onto a Vista loaded laptop

with a damaged boot sector. Your files will be saved to

a folder during installation. Once you complete the installation

of 7 you can reinstall Vista on the original partition.

This type of troubeshooting takes a bit of experience and a

load of patience.

I hope this will help you get your teeth into it.
