Question about Mitsubishi Mr. Slim MXZ30TN Air Conditioner

Open Question

I am currently operating a MSYD36NA / MUYD36NA Mitsubishi Mr. Slim 34,600 BTU 15.1 SEER Single Zone Ductless Mini Split Air Conditioner. Has been operating for the past 2 months with no issues. It was installed by a profession on a dedicated 30amp circuit (i should note that the breakers are approximately 25 years old) Today while the unit was operating the circuit breaker popped. I went to the fuse box and reset it and within 1 minute had popped again. I reset it once more and the breaker stayed on. After returning to the unit it was obvious that the outside unit was not functioning but the indoor unit was. I turned the breaker off for 1 hour and turned it back on and it was still the same thing. Indoor unit was running (not cold) outdoor unit was dead. I opened up the electrical panel on the outdoor unit and could hear a faint buzz (not sure if this is normal or not). I turned off the breaker so that I could examine. I figured that it was possible that a fuse inside the unit had failed. Sure enough I found a burned out fuse labeled T2A /250 V. The fuse looked smokey on the inside. I have removed the fuse and plan to replace it. The unit is less than one year ago from and has only been installed for approximately 6 weeks. Was functioning perfectly up until now for about 10 hour per day. ***UPDATE: I have replaced the 30amp circuit breaker with a new one and replaced the fuse with an F2A/250 V (old one was T2A/250 V) and the outdoor unit will still not function Looking for advice on how to fix this. Thank you Service manual can be located here:

Sounds to me like yo have dirty condenser coils (outside unit) After this runs and gets hot it loads the compressor because it can not release heat out of the condenser coil it also may have a restriction somewhere on the high side that could cause this maybe in a txv or in a line filter.

Hope this helps Ya

SOURCE: I have a Mitsubishi electric

Please check your indoor motor's mechanism is faulty. Or capacitor(condenser) of fan motor is weak. Replace it.

Ice hitting outside fan

It sounds like your system might be low on coolant. Check the pressure of the main line and check it against the specs. You may have a leak in the system.

What is error E5 on pioneer mini split air conditioner?

E5 indicates excessive temp. of the outside coil if on cooling, OR excessive temp of the inside coil in.

Try cleaning it (them if inside one too), with dishwashing liquid and spray outside hose.
