Magic Chef oven displays F3 everytime the bake or broil button is pushed. Not sure what the model # is. Electrical range.

this could be a an open probe or shorted probe connection.you need to check your temp probe harness to your main board.
there is a chance that you need to replace your temp probe.
last thing would be to replace the EOC

Oven will not light. The ignitor glows orange but still will not light. Thanks.

without being able to take ampers on the ignitor, im gonna venture to bet it is the ignitor
i know it sounds silly but most of the time these units go bad long before the go black
if its not golowing almost white id bet again its the ignotor
they are very common parts
i reccomende
www.appliancepartspros.com
type in your model number
for your model bake and broil should be the same

in a pinch you could just use you broil one

I'm getting an error message F2 and the broiler will not turn off. It came on bt itself while the bake was on!

Hi,

F2 on most jenn-air ranges/wall ovens indicates a fault in the oven sensor or relay board. I'd first check the sensor, (part # 12001655) it should ohm out at approx. 1100ohm @ room temp. If it is OK, it's probably a faulty "broil" relay and suggest replacing the power relay board.

The board (usually seperate from the clock and just behind it), on earlier model jenn-air/magic chef/norge/maytag etc. where known to burn up. part # VO4100260. double check those numbers with your model number at your local parts depot or service provider, those are just the most common for maytag built units.

hope that helps,

good luck

Gas range won't work

Hi, Even tho the ignitor is glowing, it can be bad. It has to pull enough amps to open the gas valve. This is very common problem. I can get you the part and or prices if you could get me the model#
If I can help further, please let me know.

Thanks
Vic
