Hello

Unplug your Mitsubishi DLP TV and position the unit so you can easily access the back

Locate and remove the screws for the back panel. Do not remove the entire back of the TV but the lower panel only. The screws will be located in the edge of the panel.

Locate the projection box in the center of your DLP TV. The projection box will have a series of wires coming out of it and be attached to the speaker housing with four screws

Remove the four screws holding the projection box in place and slide the projection box out. It will not come all the way out but will slide out like a drawer. Disconnect the electrical wires at the projection box by pulling the connectors apart. You should now be able to see the projector lens itself.

Facing the back of the DLP TV, the lamp box is on the right side of the projector lens. Pull the lamp box to the right and it will slide away from the projector lens

Grab the top of the lamp box firmly and pull it out of its spring holding clips. Replace it with your new lamp box by pressing the new box into place in the same manner as the old one. Finish the job by reconnecting and installing everything you opened or removed

It may be. I have replaced the lamp in my sony 3 times. Look for dlp lamps online and enter in your tv model. There are instructions online on how to change it yourself. They also show you in your manual. The power light should blink red indicating bulb failure. Read your manual. Hope that helps

Timer light keeps blinkin!! i unpluged it and plugged back on and it does the same wat do i do

This would be a result a of your lamp going out. You will need to replace your lamp and reset the timer.

The Following are a couple of sites that have lamps for your model of TV.

http://www.bluestar-online.com/Mitsubishi_Model_WD_52525_Replacement_DLP_Lamp_p/wd-52525.htm?gclid=COS58_Xr05sCFSENDQoduFtFDA

Make sure you reset the timer on your TV or it will continue to blink.

Mitsubishi WD-52525 52-inch DLP HDTV ywllow warning lamp light

that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life.
sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours

What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away

or just simple replace the lamp. 915P020010

How do I change the lamp in this tv? Do I need to buy just the lamp or lamp with housing?

If you have not changed a lamp before at all, I would suggest that you purchase the lamp plus housing. This will contain complete instructions on how to change the lamp and reset the counter. Keep the instruction sheet and the old housing and you should be able to replace just the lamp the next time.

usually with that model when you get a 34 eror code for lamp abnormality, its directly related to the capacitors on the Power Pwb. It contains the replacement High temp capacitors with the board location numbers and PWB identification as well as the service manual on CD. Heres the link its under their repair kit ctegory.

Problems with Mitsubishi WD-52525

When you replace these laps on these TV's they have an internal clock to countdown the lamp usage. After installing the new lamp the TV asked you if you replaced the lamp and you should answer yes. If not its going to ask again. First thing is go through the motion of replacing the lamp take the lamp out etc. then place it back in the set and turn it back on. Follow the on screen instructions and that should reset the lamp timer.
