Hi...

if can not find any way to change the color depth from 8Bits to higher in Display Settings/Properties (Which you find on Control Panel), then you probably missing your Display (Graphics Card ) Driver.

Please Look for it in your Driver Disc bundled along with your computer. If you can't find corresponding drivers or Discs, please specify your Display ( Graphics) Card Make and Model.

Thank You

You are correct, the video driver is not installed.
If you know the make and model of the video card then you can download the video driver from the video manufacturer's WEB site
Otherwise you can use these automatic installers.

That is the video card driver in your PC, not the monitor driver problem. You should go to the PC manufacturer or mother board maker web site to download the correct driver for your video card.

I wish to change the screen resolution of ASUS netbook EEE PC 1005 HA with 10.5" from 1024x600 to 1024x768+ pl help me what to do

I think you mean 800X600 to 1024X768 or higher..
The reason why you cannot increase the resolution and the bit color to higher than 8 or 16 bit color is because the incorrect video driver was installed.
Download and install the correct video driver for your model laptop.
You can download the device drivers from ASUS WEB site.Select your model motherboard/computer/laptop, and make sure you select driversthat matches your Windows operating system. Please click on this link to theirWEB support site : - http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Hello, my problem is: i can't change my screen resolution from 4bit to 32bit. The colors look awful. I think there is a driver missing but i still cant find which. Can you help me? Thanks

Sorry to tell you that you lost the video driver but the worst is that your machine is outdated and getaway.com / support do not have drivers for your machine. I searched and have not found drivers for your model.

Color quality is lowest (4 bit), cannot change also font is very large and I also cannot change.

The video driver is missing or corrupted. Go into Device Manager - Display Adapters - your video card and right click on it and uninstall the driver from there. Reboot , go to the manufacturer of the video chip and download and install a new one.

Pixels only goes to 640X480

When you cannot increase the screen resolution nor a higher color bit, this usually means the video driver has defaulted to standard VGA driver and 8 or 16 bit color.
Install or re-install the latest video driver for your model video card.
When the correct video driver is installed you will be able to change the screen resolution and 32 color bit.

I cannot get the Princeton VL 1716 to stay on the 32 bit color when I reboot.

This problem occurs when the incorrect video driver has been install in the computer. It defaults to generic VGA driver which does not allow any scope to change to a higher screen resolution and a higher bit color setting.

I cant find the lcd driver

RIGHT CLICK YOUR DESKTOP BACKGROUND.
choose PROPERTIES, SETTINGS
on left side at bottom there is a small rectangular dialogue box which allows you to select 16 bit, 32 bit, 256 colors, etc. choose 32-bit. REBOOT
also if you have an OFFBOARD VIDEO card you have to go to MFR website to download video card driver and resintall it. it is probably using default since there is no driver loaded for the video card.

If ONBOARD video you have to go to MOBO MFR and download CHIPSET drivers. download EVEREST HOME EDITION (last free version) 321 and RUN it. it will identify all chipset & mfr

AMW 19" LCD Monitor

go to NVDIA web site download the latest driver.
you need at least 32bit color to setup the monitor.
the 8-bit color is a default, that is why the monitor alway return to default size which is 800x600.
19" monitor should have minimum of 1280x1024 with 32 color.
don't up the color 256bit. the color will be off on the monitor.
