Yes, you can. You need to import itunes to songbird and then transfer it to your mp3 player. You can get Songbird from the CD that came with your player or download it from Philips support site.

Here is how to Import files from itunes to Songbird:
On the computer, launch the Songbird program. Select Tools > Options
On the Songbird toolbar, select the Media Importer tab, then iTunes Import/Export.
Verify your library location and options. Select Import Library.
The software imports the iTunes library into Songbird.

Here is how to transfer files from songbird to your MP3 player:
1. Click "File" in the toolbar and select "Import Media". Choose the folder that stored your media files.
2. Select the media files that you want to transfer and then Right Click to display a drop list (You can press and hold the Ctrl button on the keyboard to select more than one file).
3. Select "Add to Device" and "(Your player model)".
Or you need to go to Songbird library and then drag and drop the files to your MP3 player's icon on the Songbird software.

Hope this helps.

Hello, friend, you may convert the m4a file to mp3 file for a try, I know GOGEAR RAGA MP3 Player supports mp3 well. If you don't know how to do that, this audio converter will help you a lot.

itunes uses an M4A file format. You will have to download a file converter, then convert it to mp3. try www.cnet.com and search for audio converter. Lots of free software to choose from.

I got a GoGear RaGa 4GB MP3 player recently and have just purchased a song from itunes. How do I get it from my computer to the MP3 player

Apple (and thus iTunes) uses a proprietary format (AAC format, not MP3) and iTunes is designed specifically to work with iPods and other Apple products.

This being said, my guess is that either your GoGear is not compatible with AAC format that you downloaded from iTunes, OR if it IS compatible with the format, it could be that iTunes does not recognize it as a device.

Either way, I would use another music library application (Windows Media Player, MediaMonkey, WinAmp, Amarok, or Songbird, to name a few) One of these may be better at recognizing your GoGear player than iTunes.

Then, if your GoGear does not support the AAC format from the iTunes store, you will want to use a converter to create an MP3 file (you can do this from inside the iTunes application, or get some thing like a media converter found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/bonkenc/)

You could use these to convert the files to MP3 and then you should be able to transfer them to your player.

Because of the incompatibility and proprietary nature of Apple, you may want to avoid iTunes unless you have an iPod

I cant put songs in the gogear from itunes?

Sorry iTunes does not allow non-iPod devices to sync with iTunes. However, if you download something called Double Twist, you can put the songs that you have in iTunes onto your Gogear. Double Twist pulls your music from iTunes and does all the necessary file conversion and it's really easy to use, you should give it a try.
Hope this helps!

How to use iTunes with a Philips GoGear MP3 player?

You have to convert the file from an aspple/aac audio file to an mp3 file. The easiest way to do this is to download a free audio/video converter like format factory from download.com, and you can easily convert the files to mp3's very quickly. You also have to be sure that your apple tracks are DRM free.

My philps gogear audio player

The songs that you are attempting to put on the Go Gear have a non-supported license type. They are either iTunes format or DRM-protected WMA's that are not compatible with the GoGear. Acquire songs that are in Mp3 format, and you will not have this problem.

How to move my music from itunes to my phillips go gear 4gb digital audio video player

Philips GoGear is NOT compatible with iTunes - sorry. You will have to convert those AAC files from iTunes to Mp3 format in order to load them onto the GoGear. Try using Media Monkey to convert them - not guaranteed to work, but worth a shot (and it's free). Sorry if the guy at the store told you something different, but they generally just guess/don't actually know the answer.
