Hello there....well its quite simple...the network in your area is weak...if you try to use it in city center it should work there ...

if its not working anywhere call the customer service of you network provider...problem could be with your sim ...they can send you sim updates or a new sim and that should be free with in one or two days by post

before calling them check the network connectivity with people living in and around your house or your family and friends ...if they use a different service provider it could be a problem with your network provider

so switch your network ...but before you change just call them such problem can result due to repairs related to cell towers or servers

Hope this help
Cheers

Why is my phone wasting so much battery and slowing down a lot. Takes time connecting to wifi and pervents some apps to not load. Also it will not read the sd card. What can I do?

Check to see what you have going on. If you have it set to operate on 4G and there is limited or no 4G coverage in the area, it will use a lot of power searching for signal. You could disable that and run 3G only. If you have GPS turned on, it uses battery power as well. If you have wifi turned on, it will be searching for networks all the time. Keeping these items under control will maximize battery life.

Hi
Samsung phones and probably most other phones store all networks detected throughout their lives unless you select them and tell them to "Forget" particular connections. This applies even when the network settings don't match the settings of the network you are trying to connect to.
I would suggest that you "Forget" the connection you are trying to connect to. After a while the phone will detect the network and if you tap this network it will ask you for a password. Enter this and it should connect it the network without trouble.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya

"no network coverage" showing on

Goto Menu-Settings-Connectivity-Mobile Networks-Search Mode. Change your setting here from manual to automatic. Restart. If it does not work. Select your network in manual mode. In manual mode it will show all the mobile networks available in that area.

Your phone is set to automatic network search,go to the options and adjust the network settings to manual, after this check your network listings and select the desired network.I hope this has helped you.

Couldn't register service provider. Display shows ''LTD. SERVICE''

Its purely network problem. Dont try again and again with the same solutions. Switch off the mobile for some time, remove battery, and sim card, and put them again after some time and switch it on. In samsung, while switching on, it will show the service providers name in the start up screen. if it shows, then it should work. If it doesnt work, some problem with the sim card. try to replace it. or otherwise general operation in selecting the network shud help.

Limited service

Have you checked your sim card in another phone? Does it work? If yes, was this phone bought new or second hand? If second hand there is a possiblity that it is barred? Lost and stolen phones can be barred by networks (in UK anyway) and have their IMEI's blocked on all networks to prevent use.
Other than that have you tried a manual search in the networks menu/ Does it pick up anything? If nothing then the phone could be faulty? Hope that helps?

Enabling Edge

You need either GPRS enabled with your SIM card or WI-Fi enabled.
For GPRS enabling, go to Settings ->Network->EDGE->APN -type your SIM Card GPRS site address, ask your SIM provider for the details. Username-put your phone number with country code and Password-put what is there for your SIM.

For Wi-Fi enabling, go to Settings -> Wi-Fi-set it to ON and it would automatically search for nearby connections. If you find one unlocked, just select that and start using internet via SAFARI!!!
