A Partner is a pretty simple system and the phones are probably all in a single calling group. Your extensions are numbered from 10 to whatever, so at the least you can grab a phone, press the intercom button and dial 0 or 10. It will ring the main phone.
From there, you can start dialing 11,12,13 etc and build your directory. IIRC pressing * in front of the number turns it into a handsfree call. Now, here's where you get to see what kind of installation you have :-) Press intercom and dial *71. With luck, every idle phone will have paging. (71 will ring every phone btw).
This does require programming and an extension can be either in or out of a group.
I do have a basic Partner ACS manual on my website. http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Partner_ACS.pdf
The display phone users manual in in the document. Page 179 starts chapter 6, a 30 page guide to the phones.

From the main phone, press PROG **1234 and dial 004. Press ENTER 2 times (watch out, it moves on the display) and you will be looking at 101 : OPERATOR if it's still unprogrammed. Keep pressing NEXT until you get to the one you want to change and use a combination of the keypad and the AUTO ANS button to spell out the new name. The STORE button saves it, the right arrow and clear button step back and forth on the line you're entering.
You can pick up the handset and drop it back into the cradle when you're done to exit.

If you are using this phone with a Panasonic KX-TDA 30/100/200/600 system. From the Switcboard / Main telephone or Managers phone with the handset on the cradle/hook press Program * * or Program * # followed by the system password ( default is 1234). Now press 004 and then ENTER. Enter the extension number you want to change. Now enter the name (the same way as texting on a cellphone) To save the changes press AUTO DIAL / STORE. To go to the next extension press NEXT on the screen. When you are done lift the handset and put it down to exit program mode.
