Hi - The machine uses SO-DIMM 200 pin DDR SDRAM @ 333 MHz also called PC2700. It came standard with 512 Mb and can be upgraded to two GB. It has two ram slots.

The Laptop was available with Intel Pentium M CPU's at 1.6, 1.7, 1.8 and 2.0 GHz.

I have heard that a PC333 DDR ram can also run in a PC266 DDR ram supported motherboard but in a "slower speed", what does this mean? Let's say that If I use a 512MB PC333 on a PC266 DDR Ram...

You will get 512 Mb of memory but it will run at the slower bus speed. Think of it like this. Your memory is your car. Your car has the ability to go faster, depending on how fast the motor allows it to go. Unfortunately, everywhere you drive has a speed limit. Regardless of how fast your car CAN go, you are only able to drive the speed limit. That's kind of what is going on with the bus speed situation.

Bus speed determines how fast the memory and cpu can transfer data between one another. The higher the bus speed, the more information it can transfer at a quicker rate. If your memory is capable of transferring at a rate of 333 MHz but your motherboard can only support 266 MHz you will surely have the 512 Mb of ram but it will only transfer at the motherboard supported speed of 266 MHz as opposed to the full speed that the memory is capable of.

Hope this helps. If it did help you, please give it a thumbs up.

Hi there. I am a RAM rookie. I have GAteway MX7118. are there two memory slots or one. It comes with 512 does that mean there are two slots and I can add a 1GB for A total of 1.5GB ?

Hi, defending on your cpu board usualy there are two slots, also if your board capable to 1 gigabytes memory, if your memory is DDR u can add 1 GB up . if your memory is SD you cannot add higher than 712 MB. if your memory is 512 and you want to add 1GB the total should be 1.5 you are correct in your calculation. thanks

Hello arslandan463,
This code means ther is a mismatch between the The size of the SDRAM memory and the main controller board This can be caused by many things, and I mean everthing from just casual usage (normal failure) or trying to modify a device to accept more or less memory or capability than it it is capable of. For example, if you added features, but did not add memory. Or if extra memory is on the copier that was needed for extra stuff is on the copier, but the extra stuff is missing. This is more complex a problem than you usually run into. I wish I could help you more, but perhaps what I have said makes sense to you as I don't know the history of your device. Canon copiers don't like to have their configurations changed without "PERFECTLY PERFORMED" functions being executed. Let me know if I jogged your memory.

1.mainly i want the memory capacity of gatawayCX210X tablet pc.... 2.what kind operating system is used in it? about effient performance? 4.what kind processor is used in it? kindly please do...

1) 4 gigabytes (Comes with 1 GB) 2) Windows Vista Home Premium (32-bit) 3) Inefficient, but this is my opinion. For starters, it is an old processor, with little memory to support it. If you want to upgrade to the 4 GB capacity, you need a new license to Windows Vista Home Premium x64, so that adds cost. If you can't perform the upgrade yourself, that will add more cost. This is not a fast system. 4) Intel Core Duo T2350, though some were produced with a single-core variant, in either setup, this will not be a very fast system. Depending upon your use, you may want to shop for a newer system. This system would be good for note taking, but not graphic arts, and I would not expect a snappy startup time with Windows Vista. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but better to find out before spending the money. Always try a system out before buying it, because numbers can be deceiving when you are reading specifications.

What kind of memory can i add

go by the law, youre only as fast as your slowest stick of ram, and PC2700 is about the most expensive ram out there.. old ram that is...
if i were you, sell those two, and buy yourself a stick of 512 pc3200..
i mean think about it mathwise...
if you go from 400 mhz ram
to 266 mhz ram
your going down in speed 33 percent...
sell em! =]

Add Memory

it depends, you will want to check the type of memory first, and make sure you are purchasing the correct type. Also, if you have memory slots that are different colors, you will want to put the memory in two similar colors. also, i would advise buying a set of 2 1gb sticks of ram that are dual-channel capable, and removing the old memory. Otherwise the old stick of memory will significantly slow down the speed the new stick can run at. Memory is extremely cheap at, you can get 2gb ddr2 ram for under $30.

Medion md 96820 mobile gps navigation system

I got mine last night and all works fine - even though I had to disconnect it and reconnect it to see the internal memory content (preloaded) on the flash drive of the GPS. Once I saw the maps and other data, the Drag & Drop of MP3's worked as expected (using XP). I set up Active Sync as a guest account. Love the unit so far. Easy to use and fast response.

Amvo.exe application error

Though you didn't include the actual message, memory issues can be from not having enough RAM, having physical RAM that is defective (run a memory check), or running too many processes for your system's capabilities. Take a look at the Task Manager to verify services are not overloading your PC capacity - you may need to add RAM. Thanks for rating FixYa!
