My laptop speakers internal are not installed anymore . how do i install sound device?

That "no audio devices are installed" message does not refer to the headphones, but to the sound chip in the laptop. Your operating system is not seeing the laptop's audio chip, which is built into the laptop's motherboard. This could be due to a hardware failure, or a software problem (corruption of the audio chip's driver). To tell which of these is the problem, open "Device Manager" and look for any device that may be highlighted with an exclamation mark. If anything that resembles an audio device is so marked, it means the operating system is able to see the audio chip. and you problably don't have (total) audio hardware failure. You have to search, download and install the driver for this "problem" device. If no audio device is seen at all, then there is probably a hardware fault with the motherboard/audio chip. All is not lost. You can buy an inexpensive USB audio dongle that will allow you to route sound out from the laptop into external speakers or headphones. However, you'll lose the use of the internal laptop speakers that were dependent on the internal audio device (chip).

try installing proper drivers for the AUDIO CARD! the orange led only indicates the HTK HOTKEYdrivers are working properly, it does NOT says a thing about audio card drivers! so i suggest you to install proper drivers for audio playback!

Bad News boy, Since you already checked the drivers and teh volume option. which makes it eaasy for us to identify the root cause of the problem.

So try these steps.

1. Check in sound and audio device properties in control pannel, if you have the correct audio device listed. also check if nothing is on mute in volume control.
2. if its not the correct one. i suggest remove the existing driver from add and remove program and then try reinstalling it.
3. If thats the correct one, then Check if the external speakers / head phones produce sound.
4. if yes, then everything is fine in the computer, Don not do anything as all the software is fine.
5. If no, then the internal speakers have gone bad, which is ver rare, but it may happen.

Consider replacing the internal speakers,

sir try go to safe mode and then remove the sound device in hardware properties in your laptop then reboot after that, boot normal mode then you have new found hardware then install again your sound device.

You may have to go to control panel and into Sound and Audio devices and reset up your internal speakers.

just install the audio driver on your driver disk that comes with your laptop...Hope this works! ITTech7574

If that does not work, go to control panel and to "Audio devices and sound themes", Right-click on a empty spot in the window that pops up, and choose "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconncted devices", if you see a icon that is called internal speakers or speakers..something similar. You have to right-click it, and choose Use as default.

Th problem seems to be that you need to go into your sound control options and make sure that the playback devices are for your internal speakers. When changing that you should unplug your external speakers. Let me know if this helps!

Hi, It is possible that: 1. You may have recently installed an add-on/external device such as a multimedia keyboard which changed the audio output from internal to external; 2. The laptop's internal speaker might have gone dead (highly unlikely but still a possibility) - try plugging in external speakers or a headset and check; 3. Most if not all laptops uses a female stereo babyphone jack to connect to external speakers. This jack has a built-in switch that cuts off internal speaker if an external is plug in. If you are using eternal or headset from time to time, it is possible that the switch might have locked to external and does not switch back to the internal; 4. You may have a hardware issue specifically the sound card/chipset. This of course would require an inshop repair which may be better off with an authorized service center. At worst is have the entire laptop replace if it is confirmed to be a hardware issue. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need additional information.
