SOURCE: Front Loading LG Washing Machine leaves smelly sludge in wash tub

I have a front loading machine also and am not willing to have to constantly clean out the machine -- the soap and fabric softeners you use are building up between the inner and outer drums (and on the drum itself sometimes). Because the machines door is so tightly sealed (to prevent water leakage) the smell from this buildup is awful. I finally found the solution. MAGGIE'S SOAP NUTS -- they are all natural (grow on trees) and will remove the grime from your drum and also clean your clothes (you won't even need fabric softener anymore). Stop using commercial detergents and fabric softeners and start using Maggie's Soap Nuts. They are not very cheap but they work great -- I have found that making a liquid out of the soap nuts and storing it in a bottle works better than putting them in the sack cloth they come with (because front loaders do not agitate constantly like regular machines, the cloth bag sits on the clothes and sometimes leaves a stain -- the liquid will not leave a stain. YOU WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM AND HAVE SOFTER CLOTHES TO BOOT (without fabric softener so you save some money there). They are also better for septic tanks, the environment and your health! I believe Whole Foods sells them and they are also on the internet at www.Maggiessoapnuts.com Note: Also go to www.newstarget.com -- they are going to buy these in bulk to cut the cost in half but don't have them yet. You should be able to buy them there soon.

SOURCE: Whirlpool washing machine, top load

hi without further investigation its a bit hit or miss , does the whole tub tilt or is it just the inner drum ?
if its just the inner drum then it sounds like the bearings are on there way out
if its the whole tub then it could be one of the springs that it hangs from or the shock absorber underneath that may have come adrift
hope this helps

SOURCE: Loud banging noise durning washing machine spin cycles.

First plug off the wall. Open the machine from behind to examine if any shock-absorbers(known as dampers) or springs have come off or broken. Your dealer could help with spares. But you could do the job yourself.

For spares:

SOURCE: Balance spring fell off washing machine. Where

Check the Sears parts site for diagrams of all the major components. Replace the model number shown (11020802990) with your model number (found on cabinet when you open the lid)

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?pop=true&modelNumber=11020802990

Look at the diagram for the machine base and you should see the springs and where they connect.

My Samsung 7.5kg top load washing machine is over filling..is there a sensor or something to correct this

yes
it is connected to the bottom of the tub by a small hose
it sits up top and as the tub fills , air pressure acts against a preset spring tension and switches the water solenoids off at the same time it starts the wash
the problem is probably the water inlet solenoid / valve that is not working or the diaphragm is split
to test , change over the cold and hot water hoses at the taps and press the hot water button
if the flow stops at the required setting it is the cold water valve unit

Samsung washer tub is shredding. Top load model WA400PJHDWR/AA. Was making terrible noise when spinning and when I opened it, bits of plastic were everywhere. Looks like top of tub is rubbing against...

best thing to do is call the store where it came from and let them replace it with one just like it or exchange it with one around the same price

When i load lots of blanket bedsheets it stops moving during risne at 27 min fuzzy selected

Do not load it higher than the top row of holes in the tub. There is probably so much weight in there betwen the sheets and water it has the unit seized.

I have a Samsung Sw62asp washing machine. How do I take the tub out to check that there isn't any hair clips stuck as it makes a really bad clicking noise when it is spinning out. Thanks

You can remove the front kick panel and remove the tub to pump hose to clean it out. You also have very easy to access from rear of washer

Check that the motor transmission coupling is not coming apart as well. You should never have to remove the tub, this is a very time and labor intensive job.

The drum on my washing machine is off center after spinning violently with an out-of-balance load. This machine is more than 10 years old. Is it cheaper to repair it or replace it?

would recommend repair as this is probably an easy fix. if it is a top load model then there will be some springs that stabilize the unit at the base . You will have to remove the cabinet from the washer to access and inspect the parts. look for something out of place.

I want to know how to remove the inner drum on my Samsung top loader to enable me to clean the outer drum.

you will need to remove the agitator by removing 1/4"hex screw at the bottom of agitator, then you need a "spanner wrench" to remove inner tub-basket hold-down nut then you can remove inner tub to clean outer tub

Over flowing

has someone done work inside the 'head' of this machine or on the body of it in recent time? There is a hose that actuates the level of the water and I believe this has become dislodged by some one/thing. If you can open the head, two screws on either end of that, pull forward and up, you will see underneath there a tube. Is it attached to the end of a 'bell' for lack of a better description? If it is, it may be dislocated off the tub itself. now to take the body off, simply release the clips on either side, and pull the cabinet towards you. see where the tube goes and attaches to the tub. It's probably off there if you have gotten this far. Just plug it back onto that nipple and you should be ok :) Replace the cabinet in opposite order, and there it is

Hope this helps you
