Question about Maytag 18.9 Cu. Ft. Top-Mount Refrigerator - White
Most times the compressor start relay and run/start capacitor may be defective. If the fans run yet compressor gets very hot on top it may be trying to start and cannot because those mentioned components need replaced. Pull away from the wall, unplug and lets remove the lower cover that hides the compressor. If compressor is hot it just may be short cycling because it need these components=> MTB1954ARW Compressor Components
Finding the correct model number for yours will be important in order to get the right parts. On side by sides and top mounts should be able to find the correct numbers here=>
