-   I have the same problem with no picture on screen or viewfinder. It plays back recorded stuff ok and even records the blank screen . Reset didnt chnage anything-   pres9

do a reset... also if u have recently taken the camera for shooting in a cold wet place then these symptoms are likely to occur... so u need to keep the camera clean and dry...
