Question about Cuisinart DCC-2000

1 Answer

Power off My DCC-2000 recently began losing power sporadically. E.g. it will be on (clock working); will add coffee, water, then power will go off for no reason. Happens so much I have stopped using it.

this happened with mine, except I had no power at all. It is a common
problem with this model. It will work fine for about a year, than it
won't power on. I read through reviews on amazon and while most reviews
were positive, this problem was the most common.

Try this and let me know if it works - plug the coffeemaker in, turn the function knob to BREW, and then press all 3 buttons in the center of the coffeemaker (the 1-4 button, et, etc) and hold them for a few seconds. Let me know if the clock display comes back on.

Cuisinart coffeemaker DCC-450 switch keeps turning off by itself.

There is a defect with your coffee maker. It uses a momentary switch, but is supposed to stay on for 30 minutes. I believe there is a common failure due to heat sensitivity of an IC on the board. I suspect this is a timer chip. See my other postings on this.

Clock not working

The parts to repair a problem of this magnitude are generally not available. The DCC-2000 has a thre-year warranty. I would call Cuisinart and see if you can get an in-warranty replacement. I have a high opinion of cuisinart and their products, but this particular coffeemaker, I do not personally reccomend.

Cuisinart DCC-2000 12-Cup Coffee Maker shuts off after brewing

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.
